That's a really tough schedule. Going to be good to see, with the Kings in good form, what they can do.
The pace and aggression they're playing with isn't like anything we have seen. This is an opportunity to move up the standings and put some distance between us and NOP/LAL/LAC

After this clown rather re-up with the Wizards because he didn't want a pigeonholed role? Making us re-sign Barnes?

Wouldn't worry too much. Kuzma is shooting 35% on a team that the opposition doesn't really try against. Wonder how he would be going in Sacramento where teams are now giving it their all against them. Taking 13-14 shots away from others.
I will say though, his contract is pretty good. front loaded and finishes at $19m. Will be a bargain down the road.

What I see is you can tell players are drawn to what the Kings are doing. From LTB, defensive player of the game chain to now the defensive crown. These things might be gimmicky, but the NBA can see these guys have fun together and play hard, who wouldn't want to be a part of that. Let's see if Sacramento ends up being on a players list of teams to be traded to down the track. It might seem far fetched at the moment, but it's coming.

Maybe they want to give him some game time before using him more fully?

Exactly this.

I agree with D lo yesterday that Duarte needs some G league time to work his game out. May just be injury hangover.

Colby with another monster G league game. You love to see it. I hope to see him continue to light it up. Duarte's seat has to be feeling hot with Colby ballin and Lyles set to return.

I’ll drive them to the airport and pick up Keldon!

Also I started a Colby Jones thread as a stand alone.

If Duarte does get sent down it will be the best thing for him. He is struggling to get some kinks out of his game. There are two main issues, outside of his ridiculous foul rate.
1 - Taking mid range jumpers
2 - Ball is sticking when he has it

You can hear Brown on the sidelines yelling at him about moving the ball.

I'm starting to wonder how the Kings get a true upgrade or have enough assets to land a big fish. The Kings simply don't have the picks other teams have so maybe these are the types of moves they need to look into.
Plus it would support the fact the FO believe Keegan is the third guy in a big 3.

What would Lavine on the Kings look like? Also, weird seeing the Kings mentioned as preferred trade destinations

Don’t really understand the fit, imo.

This kind of signals the end of “Keegan as the 3rd guy” talks if the Kings make the deal for Zach. I don’t see that happening.

Yeah, I don't want any part of Lavine's contract. Player option for $49 million in 26-27? No thanks.

Would definitely be interested in Keldon Johnson though, was hoping he would be a free agent target for us.

I'm fine with a lateral move if the reason seems decent enough. But I don't want to give up any assets.

Barnes can do a little bit of everything.

Not in a rush.

He seemed more Vlade's type than McNair's. Vivek had his Buddy thoughts and we did offer Lavine a contract offer that the Bulls matched if I remember correctly.

Don't see the point in Lavine here if Huerter consistently does his job.

The guy I'm a bit curious about it Caruso.

Could he be a cheaper get than some people can expect?

Davion for him straight up works in the trade checker here.

Assume we add some draft incentive.

I'd be interested in a Davion/Duarte/2nd type move for Tyus Jones as well. I think having Tyus in the second unit would be huge and would be a much better spot start for Fox too.

As much as HB has seemed to have taken a step back, the 5 man unit numbers for the starters are still really, really good.

Return to Sacramento Kings
