Carter is basically a poor man's version of Fox. Baffling choice. We need to compliment Fox and Sabonis not find backups and potential future replacements. Just gotta get used to the fact that we're a fraudulent organization and just learn to keep expectations super low. We won't be making the playoffs this season

I like Devin Carter as a player. Fit just makes no sense. The last thing we needed was another 6'2" guard.

Meh. Another 6'3 guard. Who would have thought.
Carter is going to be a good player, but damn the Kings are small.

This is genuinely baffling. I do not understand what rationale exists for this choice.

This is gross.

And I'm not even exaggerating. Really we should fire him. This is inexcusable...

I hate it here.

Interesting pick. Another guard?

Carter is a good player but not sure if he will be utilized fully unless there is a trade to free up the guard log jam.

I don’t get it.

Unless this is a specific request by a team we are trading with or a Davion replacement after we trade him.

Is Monte trying to field the all midget team? Or is Vivek confused because he thinks that guys that are 6’2” are “Bigs” from his perspective?

All those long athletic guys and once again we draft small. Just frustrated with this team every time and then watching all those long athletic guys get hype and develop.

Bizarre pick unless it is part of a trade. He's even smaller than Fox, when this team need size .. hope there is a trade as this offsets some of the recent good news.

Fox / Monk / Huerter / Davion / Ellis / Colby & now Carter. Makes no sense unless we don't move both Huerter and Davion.

I just see this as it has to mean a trade is happening. It has to right?
Otherwise it's just baffling.

Monte is **** allergic to wings. Another year of playing small, and getting stuck with Harrison **** Barnes at pf. Honestly I told myself we keep the pick, but this is trash. Even if a Huerter/Mitchell trade is coming, we better we getting Randle or something

There has to be a trade coming. May involve Carter & or our guard clutter.

We did try to get Caruso for 13 if the rumors are correct.

But Carter plays guard too. But I think you guys need to relax at least until the first round is over.

it wouldn't be Kuzma imho since Wizards just took Bub Carrington. But I could def see the Nets wanting Carter but if there was a trade why wouldn't it have already been announced?

Yeah I doubt Carter is part of any trade we make. It would have already been announced if we drafted him for someone else. It will take Huerter/Davion/future picks to upgrade (hell just acquire) the forward spot.

On the bright side, Carter is the best guard on the team not named Fox & Monk. He and Ellis will battle for the 3rd best guard in the team.

Get rid of the other guards to open up minutes for those 4 players above.

How many times have we said this since Monte got here?

Only thing I think they don't believe in Keon. But damn, like wtf.

Fox/Carter/Mitchell
Keon/Monk/Huerter/Colby
Keegan
Barnes/Lyles/Sasha
Sabonis

That's the roster today unless I missed someone? Amazing lol.

Absolutely love the pick and the fit next to Fox. Great defender who fits perfectly next to an explosive playmaker like Fox.

Seems like I'm in the minority but this will be an excellent fit and player for us

We had some success going Fox-Monk-Keon.

I'm fine with that.

But what does Huerter/Barnes/Mitchell fetch? That's nothing.

Return to Sacramento Kings
