Stretch 4 chatter has been around since before the draft. Not exactly shocked to see one signed.

If I was Vlade:

I would stretch Z-Bo and sign Bjelica.

Trade one or two of the KK, Skal, WCS for anything you can -- preferably for a pick.

Buyout BMac.

Sell the remaining cap space for assets.

I'm lukewarm about signing players like Smart and Capela right now.

Looking like Bjelica at 2 years $13 million with 2nd year $2 million guarantee. I guess it is okay. Just a slight overpay in my opinion but not by much. I was looking at 2 years $10 million ($12 million max) but because the 2nd year is only partially guaranteed we could part ways if he doesn't provide what we're looking for.

I wonder if he will be our opening day starter at SF. From what wolves fans said hes a good passer, ball handler, shooter. Not the most athletic but I think our uber athletic bigs can help cover that on the fast break and elsewhere.

I think he plays more 3 than 4 this year. Minnesota fans said by far his best stretch last year was playing 3 when butler was out.

I'm not a big fan of Justin Jackson. He scored decent in summer league but doesn't do much else. That said, if Bjelica signs I think he's the best SF option we have (unless we make other moves). Joerger has said may times that the team didn't have the length to match up with other teams. Bjelica is 6'10, an above average defender, and shot 41% from 3. He is a solid basketball player with high a IQ which includes passing and ball handling. I also like that he's played with Bodgan so there's continuity. I think him and Bagley (not calling him a SF) could be interchangeable (SF/PF) as well. The starting five would have more length with Fox 6'3, Bogdanovic 6'6, Bjelica 6'10, Bagley 6'11, and Cauley-Stein 7'0. I think Bogdan will shoot near 40% from 3 this year so if Bjelica can continue at his clip it would be an nice option for Fox on drive and kick outs.

This Bjelica stuff ostensibly takes us out of Capela, and I don’t dig that he’s 30 going on 31 (would like upside/timeline)

The Kings could still potentially sign Capela if that's what they want to do but it would have to be a sign and trade. Kings cap space would go from $20.5 to $14 with Bjelica signing. If Kings send WCS to Rockets that would bring them up to $18.7. Buying out Davis and McLemore would get them up to $25.2. That should be enough for Capela.

Because I'm not confident in Frank Mason, if we can't trade for Ish Smith I wouldn't mind signing Tim Frazier as back up PG on minimum deal.

So buying out a player doesn't add cap space. That said if we were to do a S&T with Houston, I would like them to take WCS/Koufos/2nds for Capela.

Not sure on how it works if we can trade Davis/McLemore immediately? I know there are some rules about only being able to trade players alone after they have been acquired but I think thats only if we are above the cap from what I read.

Apparently Bjelica’s agent just rejected the report on twitter

Even without factoring Capela, just not a fan of bringing in someone going on 31 for this timeline

I think we need a veteran pg as well. Not sure Frazier is the answer. I prefer Lawson who is already familiar with the team, and actually likes to run up and down the court.

I believe we can trade Davis & McLemore immediately but we can't send them as part of a multi player trade if I'm not mistaken (meaning 1 for 1). I mentioned this earlier but I'd like to see if we could get Ish Smith from Pistons. Trade McLemore & 2nd round pick if they'd bite.

I suggested Frazier because his Defensive RPM is pretty good and his career assist percentage of 32.3% is good indicator that he's effective in setting up his teammates for scoring opportunities and controlling the offense while on the court. You mention Lawson. Lawson's career assist percentage as a comparison is 32.2%. I'd pick Frazier. He's not as good of 3 pt shooter but he's younger, doesn't bring "baggage", and would likely be a minimum contract.

He's a strong physical player but an instant blow by at SF. The Kings have work to do. If they come into the year with BMac and all those FC guys and expect them all to play we are in a for another season where no player stands out on the floor. You can't have that when you're rebuilding.

He's a skilled big so I think age won't hit him much. Athletically he is what he is. I think towards the end of his career he'll have a Toni Kukoc type of transition to playing more center.

I think it’s Raskovic second tweet from the top, the Pinocchio one
