Trading him for a prospect or pick sounds counter to anything going on..

There are no reports about keeping Richaun..

Barnes/Holmes for Horford (partially guaranteed next year for 14 million), Nesmith (rookie contract wing), Bruno Fernando (rookie contract big)?

Come on bro.

I'd rather keep Barnes honestly. I think he fits at the 4 with Sabonis. Can spend some mins at the 3.

Holmes out though I think may make sense. May have to wait for the draft or off season though. No rush there, think we will find a taker late in FA after trying to fill out the roster.

Washington and Oubre for Holmes and your choice of throw in eg. Holiday or Harkless

Washington is coming off the bench thanks to the emergence of Miles but he still shoots 39% from 3, fits well as a stretch 4/3, Oubre has been exceptional scoring 16ppg off the bench, getting on fire from 3, but we need a big and defence bad.

Oubre is only guaranteed for $5 mill next year, so you can also flick him if you don't want to pay him.

I'm 100% in on Washington. And at the same time I'm 100% out on oubre.

I've never liked him. I think he's selfish. And I don't think he's the kind of player we want surrounding these guys.

Filler needs to be Ish. Or oubre routed to a 3rd team.

Can we stop the talk that Fox didn’t have enough value around the league?
It’s clear Monte wants to build something with him.
I will stand corrected if he is traded before the deadline.

Sabonis is a legit all star. Full stop. I love Haliburton but Sabonis is way better than him at this stage of his career. The moment Sabonis stepped on the floor, he elevates everyones game.

I feel we are a (real good) piece or two away to make some noise in the play-in.

He makes everyone's job that little bit easier. Barnes with 30 on 11 shots. He was the main reason Metu was 6-8. These are the guys that will benefit the most, but when Mitchell and Fox get to realise just how good a passer he is, it will elevate their game and hopefully take a few bumps off Fox each game.

Seriously. This just makes too much sense not to happen. I don't get why it's not done yet.

Maybe kings or Hornets going after a bigger fish and this is that 11:59am deal?

I would even kick in extra to make this happen. Another 1st, lottery protected, 2024. Would be a great start. Need to get some scoring from the bench next season, but I like it.

Barnes and Davion should be untouchable right now. Look to move picks or Holmes or bags (lol). I just don’t think you can move off Barnes and Davion unless you get someone great. Grant isn’t that. Barnes is as good on this team.

I agree. In my opinion Barnes is better than Grant. And I expect mitchell to take a bigger leap year 2 due to his age. They should only be available for a real impact player (like a sabonis)

Few notes with Sabonis impact on the team

1. He makes Barnes better. They both operate inside, and Barnes is smart enough to put himself in a good position for an easy pass.

2. Hes going to make Fox/mitchell better. My biggest issue with mitchell this season has been how often he gets blocked at the rim. Sabonis has the gravity to clear space for him. My fault I never noticed that before.

3. Hes going to make random athletic guys like Metu better. If you cut and can get towards the rim, he will find you. Even if he doesn't have the ball, he opens it up for the guards to find you.

Weird thought, sabonis creates spacing without being a big 3pt threat.

Weird that we traded our best play maker and our 2 best shooters.

But 32 assists tonight, and 40% from 3 on 30 attempts.

Moving buddy cannot be glossed over. That is huge for this team.

If we are giving up this 2022 unprotected I'm going to need John Collins, who I consider better, younger than Grant and locked up nicely with upside and without the efficiency issues. Without the pick, maybe Holmes three way deal for Grant or a real protected pick

I still maintain Fox's issues were with Buddy/Bagley. Not having Tyrese cutting into his role. I'm not suggesting it didn't have anything to do with it. These guys are pros and have egos so he wouldn't have been completely happy. But it's telling what James Ham said about Fox, him heading into training camp and the fact Buddy and Bagley had both consistently asked out, didn't want to be here and, yet they're still here.
