When someone asked George Maloof about it I think he said, "I have my reasons, trust me I'm a developer" lol

Seriously though WTF if true.

It'd have to be something personal I think, which would mean they're letting a personal tiff make it so that this city that they've supposedly loved so much not get a team that they deserve so much.

What classy guys.

Well I hope we find a way to keep the Kings . I want this nightmare to be over I am tired of all this dumb@ss madness . The Maloofs are idiots .
I am a Sacramento Kings fan not a Seattle ,Viginia Beach , Anaheim Kings let alone Laker , Blazers , Warriors etc. fan
I love NBA Basketball if the Kings go from Sacramento I am not a fan of any other team . No need to jump on any other teams bandwagon !
I am sure this will finally be it . We either get lucky and keep them & have new owners or their gone we will know way before March 1st I am sure . In the meantime I have a very hard time being someone who can cheer the team on , being enthusiastic etc. about trades possible players to draft later etc. knowing the team very well might be gone .

By the way Tyreke is being rumored to possibly being traded to Memphis as we speak this is according to hoopshype.com take that for what its worth .

Was on NBA Game time via phone around 4:20 pm on the west coast. I feel like the Maloofs may be mad about that backing of KJ to keep them from a free arena... i mean out of Anaheim.

It's still Aldridge though.

I'll believe it when I see it. First of all we need Burkle to agree to buy us - but if he does put up the money, and it's more money to their pockets then what Hansen is offering - then I really don't see them rejecting it out of spite.

They're all about their personal gain - 10-20 million dollars more to their wallets would be worth to them more then their personal pride.

Heck, if it's the case I don't think the NBA would allow this to happen.

We are talking about the Maloofs here. They are mad at KJ and anyone who screwed them from getting a hand out.

I doubt the NBA would let it happen though, if they see they clearly have a better money offer to keep the team in Sac and save all the trouble and bad PR, yet they reject it out of spite.

Like many people are saying if given the choice, the NBA will back Hansen because of his deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep pockets, and him being so aggressive in the arena process. Arena, relocaton, and purchase of the team is costing near a billion dollars. Its hard to come up with even 500 million dollar buyer. Once the paper is signed the NBA will not block the deal, thats a fact. I can't blame them they did their part last year and the Maloofs backed out.

I'd think Brukle is a bigger "get" to the NBA then Hansen, no?

Seattle getting a team is a matter of time - if the NBA lose Sac it might be lost forever, and it's not like we're THAT small a market.

This whole Maloof case is a big black eye on the league, and if they make the team move away from Sac despite it all then it'll be even bigger - if there will be a chance to keep the team here AND profit the Maloofs more and they decline it for a lesser deal, it'll make the league look like a goddamn joke allowing it to happen and selling out their fans like that.

Grant is such a tool. He keeps saying I knew this would happen if we didn't have an arena. No **** dumbass, the freakin Magoofs are the ones who pulled out of it. Why does Grant keep blaming the city. Jesus I gotta turn the radio off, I can't take it anymore.

If we somehow manage to pull a Burkle and stay, I goddamn hope the first order of action is to fire Grant and keep Jerry.

If that happens you can almost assume that you see a whole new organization moving forward. Grants a good PBP, but don't put all your eggs in one basket buddy, be careful the line you skate the next few days/weeks.

Larry Elilson is our only real hope. He has deep pockets has been out bidding everyone (Out bid OKC and and outbid the current GSW owner) Problem is the league doesn't want to play ball with him.

btw here is the exact quote from another board.

David Aldridge on NBATV: "I can tell you they are not going to sell the team around Burkle, and I'm not guessing on that one. I've got people pretty close that have told me that..." "If there are other people with that kind of money in the Sacramento area, that will pledge to keep them there they should step forward because it's getting late...." "Once that (March 1st deadline) is set in place, I don't see right now, anything that would stop that team from moving once they apply for relocation...I'm fairly certain the other owners would quickly approve that and the BOG would soon approve it in time for them to move by next season"

Lol some guy asked grant for tickets, grant said he didn't have any today but call tomorrow. Ya I'm sure there will be plenty of tickets to give away tomorrow.

That seems fishy to me. The greatest stumbling block would be the Maloofs just taking a dump on the city of Sac for "turning on them". C'mon Maloofs, you're better than that. Right?

There are more than a few owners out there. I'm sure an ownership group will be put together, it all comes down to the Maloofs willingness to play ball, or the BOG not allowing them to just completely tank the Sac fans and market.
