Yeah, the MLE is right around there. If they can get him for that it's a steal. I'm still in the 10-12 million per year range as a guess. 8 would be awesome.

Yeah I think BB gets what Afflalo made 12-13

Bogdan Bogdanović: "I will receive official contract offer from Sacramento on 1st or 2nd July. Then i will decide until 4th or 5th July."

He said that in interview for B92. Here is full article (in Serbian):
http://www.b92.net/sport/intervjui/intervjui.php?yyyy=2017&mm=06&nav_category=91&nav_id=1276397

It looks like (and that opinion is not based only on this interview but on all what he sayed last few days) that he decided to leave Fenerbahce and go to the Kings.

That is great news, thinking 3/40 is around what he could get.
If he signs for less I would be ecstatic.
Thinking it would be good to get him on a long front loaded contract.

I dont think that he will get contract like that. 25-30M for 3years is more realistic IMO, but who knows, maybe Vlade will offer more money to him because they are compatriots :D

So, does Vlade want to be a good GM or does he want to be a compatriot? Keeping his costs down now will be the key for the future...

IMO Vlade will offer Bogdonavic a similar salary to Afflalo (12.5M)

So by then he could fly in to play summer league. Does he have national team comittments then? Someone mentioned that might be a conflict,

Personally I'd let him sit out of SL and rest up.

He is almost 25 years old and he is top10 player in Europe, he will not play in Summer league for sure..

National team commitments - If I remember well, national team training camp starts on July 20 and he will spent about 2 months with national team, until the end of Eurorobasket (Eurobasket will be held between 31 August and 17 September)

That is what I'm hoping. I think it might just be me thinking the more he spends on BB the less he has to offer some of these other FAs! LOL
The bad thing about that is it feels like we have endless money this summer

Well, the Serbian media is reporting that he has already agreed to the deal which is good.

http://www.sportando.com/en/usa/nba/238820/bogdan-bogdanovic-reportedly-agreed-to-a-three-year-dollars30-mln-deal-with-the-kings.html

Yeah, summer league is not happening if he keeps his commitment to Euroball. He'll be playing pretty much year round because NBA training camp starts the last week of Sept normally.

Good signing with a bad contract - and so the process begins...

3 years / $30million is not a bad contract at all.

It is over paying... the only competition for his services were European clubs. And the top salaries they pay are $3M, even adjusted for taxes, that is $5M.

When you have a lot of cap space it doesn't look like a mistake - but it is.

Considering that estimates ran as high as 3 years / $40 mil, this seems good to me. BB loves playing in Europe and for his fans. We want him here to see how his play works in the NBA, so we have to make a deal that's enticing enough to him. If he turns out to be a stud, then 3/$30 will be a steal. So as far as gambles go, I think it's a good one. It will only be a year or two for us to determine how well he fits within the structure of our team. By then, he will be a decent player on an expiring contract that doesn't break the bank. An easy asset to move if it suits us.

It is still overpaying... and that year 3 is when the $10M will hurt. Still a good move with a bad contract. Not really a way around that...

Kings always overpay in FA.

8-10 was the expected range for me. And Vlade got his man within that range.

$10m is barely above MLE level. That's actually great for a player of Bogdan's talent, imo.
