Tonight was judgement day for me. 100% tank.
Went to the game, bought a jersey after trade deadline, enjoyed the tank.
Let's keep playing the young fellas and tank.

I'm not going to underrate Dave Joerger with some practice days. The tank might not be totally secure yet.

Today the following we should root for the following teams to win to help in our standings to keep our top 10 protected pick .
CHARLOTTE & PORTLAND for these teams to win tonight would benefit us .

Which players jersey did you bought?

Celtics fan.

We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

Rooting for Portland tonight, but they have been COMPLETELY worthless this season when it comes to benefiting our tanking, so I have very little faith in them to beat OKC.

What a great day for the tank especially with Trail Blazers win, we are now tied in the 8th spot with Minny and Knicks. 0.5 GB out of Dallas, who right now is in 7th place in tankathon and we are 1 GB out of Pelicans, still our 8th pick is 2.5 GB out of TOP 5 where is Philly.
Tomorrow is big day for Tank too, a lot of interesting games for us.
Knicks @ 76ers very important. Our record with the Knicks is the same, so I think we will take Knicks win right?
Heat @ Magic important With Orlando win, we are getting closer to them.
Grizzlies @ Mavs very important With Mavericks win we can be in 7th place in tankathon after tomorrows games.
Spurs @ Pelicans kind a important No chance the Pelicans win the Spurs, so they still gonna hold the 6th spot after all tomorrows games.

As of right now we have the 6th, 9th, and 35th pick. I've been watching video on potential picks. With current picks and thinking who may be available I say go for homerun potential taking 6'11" SF Jonathan Issac from Florida State with 6th pick, 6'5" PG Frank Ntilikina from France with 9th pick, and 6'7" SF/PF Semi Ojeleye with 35th pick. This will change as our draft position changes. I'd still prefer Dennis Smith Jr., Miles Bridges, and still really like Ojeleye with that early 2nd round pick. I'll say it again my other 2nd round sleepers are Monte Morris, Dillon Brooks, Marcus Keene, and Cameron Oliver.

I look at it as if we are tied for 10th spot .
Keep in mind we are tied with 2 other teams Minny & Knicks . If we go based on head to head records with those I think we would be in the 9th spot .
It is way better to just out right have a worse record of course than worry about any head to heads or tie breakers .

I seriously doubt that . Kings are still giving serious minutes to our vets overall . When your doing that then you are saying 1 of 2 things or both .
1) We as a team are trying to win .
2) We as an organization really don't want to win but we must appear as we are trying to win . If we do not try we will anger the fan base that wants us to try and make the playoffs as well as anger our vets from wanting to be hear . Their are some vets the Kings want to keep ( mainly temple but Tolliver likely as well ) Not to mention you cannot send a message to other players around the NBA that we are trying not to win as that would even further make players not wanting to come here .
Granite that Kings are going young but we are not going full tilt young so we will be looking for vets via free agency this coming season & or the next year though those vets will be younger vets .
Nobody can assume we will only win a few games more . We might only win a few more . I hope we only win a few more but you cannot assume that .
In closing Nobody should assume that the following season that we will play to lose , be a terrible team or even get a lotto pick .
Vlade's job will be on the line . It is most likely make the playoffs or he will be fired most likely .
Kings will try and win . Plus Coach & Vivek does not want to lose either .
It is a shame the Vlade's job would likely be on the line considerihg he has drafted well . He is the only Gm to draft well in many years.
Drafted : STEIN ,PAPA , MALACHI & SKAL & ADDED BOGDAN VIA DRAFT TRADE & Through that trade we got PAPA & SKAL & via trading MARCO B. we got MALACHI .
The Cousins trade is Incomplete until we see if we get that pick & whom it is .
Vlade has wanted to trade Cousins for 3 years now and Vivek is whom and what stopped that Vivek tied Vlade's hands . It would be a shame if he lost his job when drafting well and not allowed to trade Cousins when back then a year ago , two years ago & three years ago Vlade could had traded Cuz and got even more via trades and now Vlade only likely will get 1 full season to make the playoffs post Cuz .
Anyways I am in full agreement Kings should lose , lose , lose right now . I just don't think we will win only 2 more games . I think it is more like 6-9 games at this point though I hope your right for our picks sake .

If I was undertanding our pick obligation correctly we should have two early second round picks right? Our outgoing second round pick was protected 31-55 so we should be keeping that then as well right?

Based on the information below . As far as our own 2nd round pick the only way we keep our 2nd round pick is if we lose our 1st round pick to Chicago .
My understanding is if we keep our top 10 protected 1st Chicago gets our 2nd round pick . However we own Phily's 2nd round pick .
My understanding also in regards to Chicago if we fall 31-55 they would get it because it only states 56-60 protected with them .
31-55 is only protected with Orlando .
So the only way we keep our 2nd round pick is if we fall 56-50 and that is not possible I believe .
See below .
2017 first round draft pick to Chicago
Sacramento's 1st round pick to Chicago (via Cleveland) protected for selections 1-10 in 2017; if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Sacramento will instead convey its 2017 2nd round pick to Chicago protected for selections 56-60 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Sacramento's obligation to Chicago will be extinguished) [Cleveland-Sacramento, 6/30/2011; Chicago-Cleveland, 1/7/2014]
2017 second round draft pick to Orlando
Sacramento's 2017 2nd round pick to Orlando (via Boston to Cleveland) protected for selections 31-55 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Sacramento's obligation to Orlando will be extinguished) [Boston-Sacramento, 2/24/2011; Boston-Cleveland, 9/25/2014; Cleveland-Orlando, 1/12/2016]
My understanding is if we keep our top 10 protected 1st Chicago gets our 2nd round pick . However we own Phily's 2nd round pick .

You said we need New Orleans to win. That's wrong. We need them to lose as much as possible.
You're worried about our pick staying in the Top 10. We're already tied for 8th and we just got easily beaten by the NETS...at home. We aren't going to win many more games, if any at all. The pick is safe.

No 2018 is not in play for them. Either way it goes as far as current trade obligations we will be done with Chicago after this draft. We either owe them our 1st or our 2nd and it's over .

I read that as you said New Orleans needs to win. Kings need them to lose!
