I agree, he 's really the wrong coach for this group of players, and has not adjusted to the "new" NBA

Yeah I’ve defended both Joeger and Vlade in the past but this is ridiculous.

Getting beaten like an old rug while very obviously not even trying yet trotting out all your top young players? That’s just bad coaching. There is no moral lesson here. This is like picking your own switch. It just beeeds resentment and discontent and it undermines the value of young players.

If the Kings players look this crappy more days than not you can't afford to wait. The Kings went all in on youth so with no pick and unable to even sign an arena staffer to a dream contract in free agency they'd have to cut bait.
Elston Turner interm HC? Is that even fair to Elston?

Why not? New voices tend to give a kickstart to players. Elston finally gets his shot. It’s a win-win.

It would be more fair to give him the gig early in the year rather than wait if they do feel as if Joergers time is up. In the end I think it's up to Vlade to dictate what kind of coach will work for the teams talent. If Vlade doesn't get it either then he's got to go as well. I think it's a make or break year for the coaching staff and FO to be honest.

Not sure Vlade is making another decision for the organization. The new FO will want their man

I feel like he would play amazing on this team as long as he hustled. One more player that could push the pace.

I wish Minnesota would tear it down and we could somehow try to do a reclamation projection on Wiggins. That would be awesome.

I'm not really interested in Wiggins for the Kings. Between Fox and WCS, the kings already have guys that can drive to the hoop. What they NEED is shooters around those two. I think Belly is fitting in particularly well because he is good at that. Buddy can do it, Bogdan can do it, Wiggins cannot. I would pass on any deal for Wiggins in which the Kings send out any sort of asset other than expiring contracts. He's athletic as heck, but the dude just can't shoot.

Next summer the Kings could chase a number of non-star FAs that could fit well, and whom I would prefer to Wiggins: Bojan Bogdanovic, Mario Hezonja, Kelly Oubre, Omri Casspi, etc.

This... although I would try not to dabble in FA this off-season. Let Bogs, Hield and Jackson (and also Ferrell and Mason) know that they are it... But that is just me.

I think the same goes Bagley, Giles and Labissiere… the thing I worry about is overpaying WCS.

If the Kings can sustain a winning culture they need to look at using that cap space to acquire more future picks. You don't want to start tinkering with the chemistry of your team right at the beginning. Getting assets like picks can help facilitate deals down the line should they be necessary.

Trill has been at the bottom of my Kings rotation in the front court, not because he lacks the skill, but because he never seemed to have his head on straight. The combination of vain facial tatoos, bone-headed quotes, followed by lackluster play last season makes me feel like I can't put any trust into the guy. I'm happy to see that he's putting it together cause it benefits us. BUT it took him till his 4th season to figure it out. I'm crossing my fingers with the hopes that Giles' and Bagley's growth will overshadow Willy's, thus forcing the FO to reconsider paying him more than his demonstrated worth.

Agreed. First thing is figuring out your core... for me

First Tier Core: Fox, Bjelica, Hield, Bagley

Second Tier (or just don't know yet): Jackson, Bogs, Giles, Labissiere

Third Tier (want to keep and hopefully not to expensive): Ferrell and Mason

Move/let go: Koufos, WCS, Shumpert (although playing well), Randolph

So the question is how to pickup more assets. Being willing to take on bad contracts through 2019-20 is fine. You just need to be able to pay Bogs and Hield in 2020-21.

And not having a draft pick next season is fine, IMO. I would rather have the picks start in 2020-21 or later and let this core know that they are it...

my two cents.

Why is Skal out of the rotation? Is he injuried?

There are too many bigs and with the Kings being more competitive than expected Joergers gone with the experience of Kosta Koufos off the bench. Harry Giles and Skal are out of the rotation right now. Depending on how things transpire I expect either a trade at some point or for them to get more minutes if the Kings start slipping.

He's just not very good in my opinion. He's bad defensively and has no vision/low IQ on the offensive end. He doesn't do enough of the little things or rebound well enough to make up for his other shortcomings.

Koufos has been terrific.

Next year it is going to be Bagley/Bjelica/Giles? And maybe our FO can pull another miracle and grab another FC FA?

Still don't think we should do a big spend on WCS - I don't think it is prudent although he plays really well on a running team.
