Would you guys be happy with Brandon Bass and the Clippers first round pick for Cousins?

No not Monroe for Cousins...It might be Daye/Bynum and the Pistons Unprotected 2012 1st round pick for Cousins...

Would you guys be willing to trade a resigned Cousins and maybe Donte Green for Josh Smith, Kirk Hinrich, and a pick?

Re: Cousins demanded a trade?!?
It was painfully obvious that DMC was raging over the Knicks game in his press conference. When he kept saying "We just running the play coach wants us to" that right there told me he was frustrated by not being involved enough.
This guy should be our main focus on offence and Tyreke 2nd with a lot of dribble penetration.
Oh well you can already see the absolute fools proposing trash trades on here. This might drag out a while so may as well get used to it.

You're way better off with Josh Smith.
I don't understand the infatuation with Cousins. If he doesn't grow up (it doesn't look like that'll happen anytime soon), all that talent he has will never materialize. He's super inefficient and did I mention he acts like he's 12?
It'd be stupid for the Kings to trade him right now. His value is about as low as it'll get. Once he shows teams he can shoot 50%, you can start trying to deal him. One way to have that happen is to fire Westphal and get a coach who has a clue.

That's scary, I don't think Petrie wants to move Cousins and won't but if deals that sweet come along he may have to consider.

All we can do is base things on history. Last year when Cousins was "sent home" for beating on Donte Greene, Utah offered Deron Williams and the Kings declined. Geoff Petrie is very high on Cousins and I don't believe he really wants out, nor to I believe Petrie would move him unless the return was ridiculous.

Re: Cousins demanded a trade?!?
I feel bad for you Kings fans. I would just suspend his ass without pay and hope he eventually comes back and at least puts up some stats in this shortened season, and then re-evaluate the issue -- maybe he changes his mind or he increases his trade value. Or maybe you fire your coach.
But what leverage does Cousins have over the Kings right now? Seems to me like the Kings have all the leverage by being able to suspend him without pay if he refuses to report. The Kings can keep this up for the next 2.5 seasons if they want.
I'm not sure his value is totally shot anyway. He has tantalizing potential but he'll likely never reach it or it won't be for a while until his matures. I don't see how he can hold the Kings for ransom when it's the Kings who have the leverage.
As a Raptors fan, I wouldn't offer much because we have Valanciunas waiting in the wings. But I've actually been a fan of Cousins and followed him through his freshman year. I don't think he'd blossom here either, we lack vets, although Casey is a good coach. Anyway, I would trade Ed Davis for him. It'd be awfully hard to trade DeRozan, who is very mature and loyal, for such a known cancer in Cousins. I like Cousins' potential more but he'll hold himself back.
Good luck to ya Kings fans. Just don't make Jimmer the franchise.

Zero defense from Monroe. Cousins is a very good defender and if he matures he'll be super good.

Don't worry. This is all about proving a point, nothing more. What that point is in the long run? I don't know. I guess we'll see.

I think most people would say just the opposite... Monroe is a good defender.

Re: Cousins demanded a trade?!?
Ugh, can we stop with the trade proposals? We're just not there yet, guys.
People denying Cousins' culpability here are wrong to do that. This guys is indeed a royal pain in the ass, and if he were anybody else on the team (Tyreke included) I would be all for shipping his ass out right now.
But we just can't afford to lose him. He's too talented of a big man. It's too rare and we can't wait for another rookie.
With that said, this sucks. If it's Westphal or Cousins, you have to go with Cuz. But that sucks. Cuz is clearly the malcontent here. It's the dick move to fire Westphal for that, but I'm afraid we'll have to make the dick move.

PW Is still a dumb@ss for airing out dirty laundry . He should have kept the situation in house. As a coach you make things worse by doing nonesense like this . I think PW doesnt know how to take the blame for what is his fault . I think is exactly the type of person that needs a scapegoat to blame . He uses DMC's past reputation against him to reflect attention away from himself.
Westpaul sucks . I think he will be lucky if he lasts the rest of this season as coach .
