So the draft would shake out like this?
1 - Fultz
2 - Ball
3 - Fox
4 - Jackson?
5 - Tatum/Isaac/DSJ
Is there info on the Bulls liking Fox?

If the Sixer's Celtics trade goes through, I think it is pretty sage to say Fox will be there at 5, barring someone trading up with Phoenix for Fox.
1. Philly - Fultz
2. Lakes - Ball/Jackson
3. Boston - Jackson/Tatum
4. Phoenix - Tatum/ Isaac
5. Kings - Fox

That isn't what we're talking about, as RIPskaterdude said that #3 pick would be the Bulls' and they would pick Fox if Boston does a deal for Butler.

I got that pretty clear. But, since that is pretty irrelevant now and the talks now point to the Celtics and Sixers swapping pics, Fox will be there at 5.

How is the Celtics and 76ers swapping picks relevant but not if Celtics trade for Butler with Chicago?
None of that has happened so "it's irrelevant" then.

Likewise. All i talked about was if the trade went through, Fox would be available at 5. You replied stating "That isn't what we are talking about" as if what I am saying is irrelevant lol

That 5 year horrible contract?
Plenty of us groaned when he signed it.
Petrie wasn't scared we'd lose him.
I don't think we worked out Robinson either. I've always suspected the Maloofs told Geoff what to do in that draft.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/2013/01/03/golden-state-warriors-joe-lacob-los-angeles-clippers-new-york-knicks-iman-shumpert-damian-lillard/1806185/It's been ugly on that front for quite some time, largely because of the drastic decline in the spending habits of the Maloof family that owns the team. While there was a recent increase in the price tag of this team (from minimum payroll the last two seasons to a 2012-13 payroll that is at the salary cap), the penny-pinching precedent came with a cost during the summer. According to three people with knowledge of the situation who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation, part of the reason the Kings drafted forward Thomas Robinson fifth overall out of Kansas in June instead of Rookie of the Year frontrunner and Weber State point guard Damian Lillard (who went sixth to Portland) was because of internal doubt about ownership's ability or willingness to pony up for restricted free agent forward Jason Thompson.
There was strong support for Lillard among the team's front-office and scouting staff, but the unexpected chance to grab Robinson when he slid was seen as a safer option in case the Maloofs didn't pay the market price for Thompson and the team was left with Cousins and veteran forward Chuck Hayes on the frontline. The Kings were legitimately excited to take Robinson, who was seriously considered as high as No. 2 (Charlottte), but Thompson's situation was a factor.
Market price for Thompson?
5 years?
They inflated that contract severely.
If they were willing to pay the man that much, any "fear" would of been irrational. I've never heard of Petrie drafting based on some FA fear before.

I misremembered lol. I remember now, I was watching tape of his pre draft workouts for other teams.

Kings get MKG from Charlotte
Hornets get Afflalo and #10
MKG is still only 23 years old, and Afflalo doesnt fit with the Kings rebuild and will probably be let go anyway. Basically it's MKG for #10 and Afflalo contract to make the money work

I like his game and if there aren't any other deals out there that net us multiple picks in this draft(lookin at you Por) then I'd consider it heavily. MKG is the kind of defensive player Joeger would love on the wing. His lack of a 3 point shot is worrying but not a non starter. So my answer is it depends on what else is out there when we are on the clock. Very intriguing...

Kinda sad but think about where this franchise would be if TRob & Bmac became what they were expected to be. You can talk about other factors all you want but those 2 kansas picks set us back 6-7 years.
