Sacramento probably traded Cousins because they felt Cousins wouldn't resign and/ or his attitude/ baggage. They coulda waited until the trade deadline day but maybe the Kings thought this was the best trade they were going to get for Cousins?

So lets get this straight- Cousins had 2 of his teammates on the Kings that played at Kentucky University- Cauley-Stein and Skal Labassiere. Now Cousins reunites with 2 other players out of Kentucky- Davis and Jones. how cool is that to play on 1 nba team with 2 of your colleagues, than go to another team and you have 2 other colleagues.

Something that I haven't seen mentioned much with everyone pissed Sac didn't get a better package is maybe Kings mgmt and Cousins wanted to send him close to his hometown? Mutually agreed upon deal? I mean both parties can be frustrated with not winning but still come to a business compromise. They could've gotten a better offer from PHX or LAL or Philly or whoever but if Cousins preferred NO and he's on the trade block I don't think its insane for all parties to reach that sort of agreement. With all the double talk from the FO over the last few weeks I feel like now we can only speculate what the hell went on anyway. It just sucks they got 50 cents on the dollar for him.

My first reaction upon seeing Boogie grinning throughout his post-ASG interview: Yes I'm sure he was surprised to see it all come to a head and made official over the course of what? 24 hours? But above all he's optimistic for future with NO.

I think this is it. The Kings made the deal as a favor to Cousins. This is probably his dream scenario. Obviously the return is terrible, but they could rebuild faster this way than had they waited until 2018.

With that said, I thought they owed an unprotected draft pick to the Sixers. That's the real reason Vlade should be on the hot seat. Tanking is one thing, but you need draft picks for tanking to work.

Yes, we do owe an unprotected draft pick in 2019 to the Sixers. So if we finish under the top 10 this year, we have our 17 and 18 pick.
