Papagiannis should just change his mailing address to Reno.

Skal now spreading the floor, and Papa us liking the space to clean up on the glass. Much better spacing.

Papagiannis is 7'2 but chooses not to contest the dunk. Trash.

They have been leaving Pappa to collapse on Fox all tournament. He started to do something about it at the end.

Not quick enough to recover and challenge it.

hmm so far Buddy and Skal have looked disappointing. They showed a lot of potential last season. We'll see what happens when they play a real game. But tbh I thought this summer league team would dominate because Skal and Buddy played so good on the Kings.

Most of the 2016 draft class has looked disappointing. Being outclassed by the 2017 class despite having a year under their belt. Thank goodness we have four guys in 2017 and got Bogdan from an earlier class.

It's summer league, lol. I counted more than a few non calls that would have went for Skal, Buddy, and Jackson in a real game.

If the Kings hope to win any games this year and not repeat last years failures the coaching staff needs to focus more on spacing the floor and creating some breathing room for the players.

Summer league is chaotic, rugged, ugly, etc. It's hard to predict anything that goes on. Bad basketball is bad basketball, but summer league is more often than not bad basketball for learning purposes. Summer league has it's values but it can't possibly be a real indication of too much. I mean, would you trade anyone on this roster right now for anyone on the Kings SL team that won it all a few years back?

That said, the Kings are on the ropes here. They aren't going to want to go winless 2 straight years so we'll see how they respond tomorrow.

I actually think Skal has had a good SL.

the things Im worried about
- the defense is non existent (its SL though)
-Heild seems to be a ball stopper
-Papa is so slow. The oop action with Fox seems fine tho

the things I like
-Fox has shown a decent jumper from the elbo at 15 feet.
- if Jackson can develop like the flashes he has shown, he eventually will get minutes
- outside of the people they just signed, the team that is playing will be playing a lot of minutes in the regular season

For the Kings defense to be successful they are going to have to funnel players to Pappa like the Jazz did with Eaton. That approach will be harder to execute in the era of the stretch bigs.

Buddy does seem to be challenging himself by trying to create more off the dribble and shoot off the dribble. He's clearly working hard on his game, which is great to see.

Agreed that Buddy looks like a ball stopped but not too worried on that front. No one has any chemistry right now and the style of play is always rough in SL. Limited ability to create offense for others outside of basic pick and roll and drive and kick stuff. He'll be less of a blackhole when other people can help him create and he can come off screens with direction.

Papa on the other hand looks awful. Having him on the court is essentially spotting the other team ten points. It is rough to watch. And the thing is, its not that he is particularly slow. Its that he doesn't know where to be. He is consistently clogging the lane when people are driving and doesn't have the awareness to make space. He is slow to roll on pick and rolls and when he doesn't have great hands to catch lobs and pocket passes. His timing of blocks is poor and he can't rebound well in traffic because of poor hands, poor timing, and a continued aversion to contact. Drives me nuts.

Jackson is a future starter. Needs some strength, but he is going to be good in a couple seasons.

I haven't looked into this or even watched their last game but I seen Lonzo played 34 minutes. Fishy he has a grion injury now that he is about to face Fox again...

If I'm off base then so be it. Just found it eyebrow raising, as I can't find out any info about when this flared up and the reports say he's had it for a more than a week meaning he played heavy minutes in the C's game with it.

Apparently he's had it for a while. Last game he had a triple double 11/11/11

Yeah I seen the reports about him having it for a week. I'm just question the legitimacy of it because he is resting now that he was about to get wrecked again by Fox. I wonder if he'll ever play against him again haha. Let's trot out all the excuses he'll us to get away from Swipathefox...

I like what Coach Jaeger said about Jackson. SackingZZZ would agree and love it as it was mentioned similarly yesterday.

His thought on Jackson is that he serves as a complimentary guy whether he's playing with 4 young guys or 4 veterans. Coach sees it. I think Jackson will receive solid opportunity this season
