What if those top 5 point guards aren't there at 10?

At least 1 of will be there if not 2 of .

If the Lakers are trying to trade Russell it is a great indication they are taking Ball at 2

likely Tatum at 3 , Jackson at 4 & we get Fox at 5

If not we get Jackson at 5 & either Smith Jr of Ntilikana at 10

What if Fultz goes 1
Ball 2
Fox 4
We take Tatum at 5
Smith Jr 8
Ntilikina 9 ?

Won't happen . Even is it went down like that I would pass still .

For everyone else, I mean yes Fox or DSJ would be amazing but trading for Russell allows you to grab one of the Top SF's at 5. That's huge. Who do you have rated higher than Russell at 10? IMO there isn't anyone better.

It is doubtful we are leaving this draft without our PG . I feel it's a moot point anyways .

Your taking 1 small part of what I said .

Either way mu point is still the same . I do not feel Russell would be good for our team . The guy is not a team player . He is simply a me first guy , let me pad my stats guy . That is not what we need at all . That will be more harmful to our other players .

Russell is better than Mitchell in many areas. It's not a moot point at all.

Russell is better than Mitchell in many areas. It's not a moot point at all.

I would take just about any projected top 10 player in this draft over him .

But at 10 you dont get to choose from all of those top 10 guys, you get the one guy who's left at 10, which is probably Ntilikina. Or if you dont like Ntilikina you can draft a projected 11-15 guy. Russell is better than any of those players.

The biggest knock on Russell is maturity. I don't know where you get the narrative he's selfish because he's shown to be a willing passer even going back to his Ohio St. days.

I'd have to say no to Russell as well, just a bad fit. But I would also be shocked that they would entertain the thought of moving him for Kennard. The Lakers are dumb if they think by taking Ball they have to move Russell. Those two are actually perfect compliments to one another.

At This point I don't even care who he takes. He already went full crazy.

Also he's likely to wait to the draft anyway and have the deal contingent on who the suns pick.

There's also the possibility the suns may make a trade to get Jackson if thats their guy to prevent the kings from jumping them.

I'm guessing Ainge is happy with Jackson, Tatum or Isaac which is why he might trade down to 5, because one would be there. But I doubt anyone knows. Probably not even dozencousins.
