Over all IMO this draft class is weak in comparison to most other drafts . Mclemore or Burke are the guys I want & feel would be best . If we cant get them I say trade down & get assets in the future as well as moving down .
I see a few guys I like who will get drafted in the middle - late first round who I feel are every bit as good as some guys who will go 7 & there after .
Michael carter Williams & Tim hardaway jr. are just 2 others that can go between 12- 22nd overall who I feel will have great careers & would be nice additions .

There is some potential in this draft but yeah, fairly weak. Although it's another draft where if the Kings brass, whoever that may be at the time, are smart, they can fill some major holes. Don't know where the Kings will be drafting and I think this will be another draft where after 1 or 2 it's all up in the air but players I'd like to see the Kings get their hands on are Anthony Bennett, Nerlens Noel, or Alex Len.

Outside of McLemore who I think is easily the only prospect with any real go to ability the guard class is weak. Muhammed could be a nice pick up if below 8 but clearly he wasn't the player people thought he was. Very reminiscent of James Harden but without the PG skills of course which limits his potential. Porter could be a decent role player and a good fit for this team but a top 5 pick? Really? So, Len is a high potential young big who could at least become a rotation player, Bennett would add another big who can knock down the 3 and is also a beastly finisher, and Noel is obviously a perfect fit next to Cousins. He's another player that whoever thinks he's a franchise player and anything other than a nice role playing defender is going to be seriously disappointed. Kenyon Martin part 2, solid career but you look back and think "wtf?". He belongs on the Kings so the only team up high I can see taking him 1 or 2 would be the Kings, especially with the knee and all. The Kings can wait for him, the other really bad teams need talent, not high end specialized role players.

I could see almost any team in the top 10 taking Noel outside of the Hornets. I know you said whoever thinks he's a franchise player will be very disappointed but the thing is many nba general managers will think that and take a risk on him. He'll got top 2 for sure in my opinion either right before or right after McLemore.

I wouldn't touch Len with a 10 foot pole; I've seen him up close since I live in the DC area and he's soft and plays with no desire or heart. No way should he be a lottery pick. If the Kings don't get #1 or #2; they need to make sure they are in position to draft either Bennett or Porter.

Len will be drafted high for the same reason that Andre Drummond went high. Same high potential big that was shockingly unproductive in college. He's obviously different than Drummond as a player but there is some real skill there. I have very low expectations on this particular draft class save for 2 or 3 players. At worst Len is a rotation big with the potential to be more. This team needs to find role players to go anywhere so taking some potential risk might be worth it.

Bennett would be nice obviously, just don't know if his measurement will get him down far enough for the Kings to nab him.

My top three as of right now is: Shabazz, Oladipo, and Len (I'm not 100% sold on him, but nor am I on a lot of guys this year, but I just love his activity).

Been looking over footage and articles about a lot of players that are considered outside of the top-10, I think Jeff Withey, Reggie Bullock, Sergey Karasev & Rudy Gobert are really nice prospects to draft if the Kings have another pick in this draft.

Both Withey & Bullock are the safest picks:

Bullock reminds me of Danny Green (very good 3PT shooter and solid defense)
Withey reminds me of a combination of Haywood/Asik (lane clogger/defensive presence and shotblocker)

High-potential picks:

Karasev is a high IQ player and an elite 3PT shooter (catch and shoot) and has a scorer's mentality. Defense is weak but willing.

Gobert is a physical beast, a 7 footer with a 7'9'' wingspan (!!). Runs the floor well, has good hands, and good shot blocker. The negatives are he is really skinny and raw.

Withey is my Draymond Green for this draft. Don't care how, would love to see him on the Kings. I think he could have a Tyson Chandler type career. He has great defensive potential.

Yeah, I really like Withey. I have been catching up a lot of his games recently, he looked good most of the times I see him.

Look at this:

Better shot-blocker: Withey or Noel?

Pretty good stuff.

just draft one and done (freshman), like when kings draft tyreke(rookie of the year) and cousins(kings best player right now).

i want noel or benneth. but noel is a long shot. i want benneth to get rid of salmons starting job and heavy minutes. benneth freshman stats is like mini DCM(cousins freshman stats in kentucky) without attitude problem, i like AB upside/potential.

Can Benneth play SF tho? From what I've read, he has no shot and is more of a PF.

bennett is like larry johnson, undersized pf at 6'7/6'8 but can shot outside, he can moved to sf if the coach wants. in high school, bennett outside shooting is so smooth. in college, Bennett has made 23 3-pointers this season(college) and averages at least 1 3-pointers per game. Bennett's sweet spot is the left perimeter where he's made 40% of his 3 pointers. for a 240 kid, hes mobile and quick. good comparison for larry johnson.

Bennett is NOT a SF. No way, no how. He has some SF skills. Larry Johnson is a great comparison but he's more like a combo of Larry Johnson, not quite as dynamic, and Jason Maxiell, with the same kind of beastly finishing power. Would love to see the Kings get him and if the Kings had a PF rotation of Bennett and Patterson you have tons of floor spreading ability at PF. Both Patterson and Bennett would produce inside and out and teams will have a nightmarish time stopping Cousins if they're hitting their shots. That is a frontcourt very similar to the Grizzlies IMO. They could simply control the clock and be able to switch post ups with both post players feeding the ball into the other whenever they want. Memphis kills teams with that.

Being a huge UNLV fan, I have watched almost every game Rebels have played this season and Anthony Bennett... I don't know where to start. I love the kid, but he's very inconsistent at times. People compare him to Larry Johnson because LJ went to UNLV as well, but, to be quite honest, I've watched Johnson play, and I watch Bennett play, same exact player. Bennett I think would either be an undersized PF in the NBA or a good sized SF. For those who say he can't shoot from long range, please watch him play before you say that. Bennett has a very solid shot from the outside, but can be a bit streaky. UNLV's whole team was this way all year long. I think it would have been smart of him to stay one more year and solidify a top 3 spot in the draft at least, but he wanted to be one and done. Depending on where we draft and who's available, I would take a very good look at Bennett because he could be our answer at SF.

On a side note, I think Trey Burke will be THE star of this draft class, and certainly would be my top choice if he was available.

There's no way imo that if Bennett stayed he'd be able to crack the top 5 next year...The consensus already is wiggins/parker/randle/smart.

Bennett-Cousins would be the worst interior defense off the league in the next 10 years.

Draft Burke no matter what.

I wish Oladipo was bigger, he would be a great SF.

I was impressed by Oladipo's interview. Sounds like he has quite the work ethic. Might want to check it out, too.

Not a chance. Cousins is solid on that end and Bennett certainly has the tools to be just fine. Plus you still have other pieces on the team in the frontcourt that provide defense when needed. If Zach Randolph can be a part of a similar style frontcourt and help lead one of the best defensive teams in the league then they should have no issues.

You draft Bennett because Cousins/Bennett is going to just smash teams inside and out. That would be one of the most diverse frontcourts in the league plus it would allow you to stretch the floor like crazy. Then, you stack the wing with defenders.
