Pelicans are on their 2nd B2B game, while the Kings have at least 2 days of rest. Result? The Kings are down 22 points at home.

I deeply, passionately hate this team with a burning fire.

If it reaches 30 I'm turning it off.

We simply can't get over the hump -- no matter how close we are.

You can't talk about playoffs and then come out with that kind of energy.

I take it Quincy, Ben, and Willie are to blame? Good thing they haven't played much, this team might be getting blown out or something. LOL.

It's amazing what happens when you play one of the two bigs you have that can defend the pick and roll that's been killing you all night. Now, if he can find a way to remember how Cousins was being used in the last week or so because tonight, it's been pick and roll at the 3 point line again.

Weird game. We played the same bs scheme that hasn't worked all year and kept cousins on the perimeter. Why go away from why works? Just weird.

And honestly I'm tired of hearing playoff talk when this team can't even put together a solid winning streak or even beat teams they should beat. This isn't a playoff team

Your first post goes along way to explaining why the second post keeps happening. I'm very disappointed that at the first sign of trouble Karl keeps going away from what has worked, to what he wants to work. Yes, then energy wasn't exactly there from the start, but why compound it like that? He used some of the most ineffective pick and roll lineups he has against a team that runs almost nothing but pick and roll. Why?

Yea it's Karl's fault. How DARE we expect grown men to be responsible for their own behavior. If Cousins murders a man, it should be Karl going to prison

Man, you're such a Karl apologist. The dude has, and always will be, a loser. Every team he's ever coached has underachieved.

Cousins needs to be in the post and he needs a coach that demands that he be in the post. Either (a) Karl is content with him jacking jumpers (which makes it Karl's fault) or (b) Karl has such little control of the team that despite his efforts to put Cousins in the paint, Cousins won't listen (which again makes it Karl's fault).

It's comical at this point. The whole game I'm sitting there watching Rondo basically stand there while his man walks by him every play. Compounding matters Karl decides its a great idea to matchup against the hall of famer bigs Ajinca and Asik by playing Koufos alongside Cousins the whole game. Even funnier was our announcers saying "Rondo has been our best player" when in reality he was our worst player today. Do they even realize there is more to a game than a boxscore?

Then in a moment of pure, unadulterated brilliance he decides to bench our two best defensive players in the starting lineup to start the 3rd. Of course once the old man finally figures out he needs to bench Rondo and Koufos and play WCS we go on a run in the 4th. Coincidence?

I'm really starting to wonder if it's the players free gunning it out there. I don't know how they could ditch a style of ball from one game to the next. It's bizarre.

Rondo was clearly calling plays as he brought the ball up the court. That leads me to believe it was the game plan to revert back. When they freelance you see Cousins make his way to the post.

Good point but New Orleans being a bad team playing with a 28 point lead probably had something to do with the run as well.

Definitely another factor. But either way WCS made several plays at the rim.

Its so disheartening to watch this team be so grossly mismanaged. From the day we hired Karl my sentiment was "well I guess we just have to wait for him to get fired" but I didn't expect this level of ineptitude. I probably sound like a broken record but man its so damn frustrating as a fan. Could you imagine us playing with Malone still with the upgraded talent we have now? There's no doubt in my mind that we would be pushing for 50 wins right now instead of probably missing the playoffs.

For me, this is the first time the tide is starting to turn on Rudy. I've always been a supporter of his, and thought his chemistry with the team was nice and he has been a borderline all star. But this year, I'm starting to understand why a lot feel the total package with him is something the team can possibly do without (not that I'm fully there). He's driven me crazy with his lack of clutchness and lack of coming through without Cousins but his athleticism has really gone down. He hasn't been in shape. Some say he intentionally gained to play more of the 4, but the energy and D and competitiveness need to improve, and he is heading into his 30's. I have no doubt that Karl's system/pace aren't doing him any favors, but even with a potential new coach he needs to show more if he will continue to be a fixture on the team. We need that leadership and that determination.

- Defensive schemes are garbage (i.e. giving up open 3s and mindless switching)
- Net negative contribution on SG (BMac)
- Belinelli's poor shooting and zero defense
- Little PT for WCS (& Curry)
- Rudy's hot and cold effort
- Collison reverting back to Dallas/Indiana form
- Cousins was a no show for the 1st 3 quarters.
- Rondo was good on offense but bad on defense
- Karl is a senile old man
