Livingston is not a good playmaker. He only plays D and shoots good from midrange. That's all. Don't want Kings to overpay him at all. Prefer playing the rookies over that easily.

Not sure why so many want to throw big money towards iggy. A guy who relies on his athleticism and will be 33. He just an ok shooter, fine when you have curry, Durant, Thompson, green...I'd hate to blow our wad on him and a backup pg like Livingston. Fox, buddy, iggy, skal and WCS would be a dreadful perimeter team.
We should be looking at porter or Gallo. Are the Spurs shopping Danny green? If we can't get Porter or Gallo then just sign Collison or Lawson and Ingles to decent contract and wait to see how the young guys play out then make our big push next year in free agency.

I really like how Ty Lawson fits with the basketball we played post Boogie trade.
Even though his range is limited, he has great court vision, pass-first mentality and he always goes to rim to collapse defenses. And this was great for WCS, Skal and Hield to have good opportunisties on offense. And I think he is/was one of the PGs who can still be very effective without a reliable 3 in today's NBA, therefore he can help Fox to adjust faster. If we can keep him for year or two with a reasonable contract, I'm in.

I agree with your assessment. I'd be good with bringing him or Collison back. Lawson brings advantages you mentioned and would be cheaper. Only big advantage Collison has is much better 3 pt shooter. It's nice we have option for one or the other.

I'd rather suit up SacKingZZZ than that fella.
If Beverly is available for cap space and a second rounder I'd take him first.
Lawson on a 2 year, with only a partial guarantee on the second would be my next choice.
Collison is going to get paid, 3 or 4 years. Not a timeline or asset match.
Hey, I'd take the minimum to sit on the bench and wave a towel without any complaints at all. That way Joerger is within hearing distance of my complaints that they aren't getting Buddy enough shots.![]()
Beverley is interesting. There is some possibility he could even become a major trade asset at the deadline for a team needing to get that extra something heading into the playoffs.
I like the idea of Beverley. We could also help Celtics by taking Crowder if they need space for Hayward. Beverley, Crowder, and JaMychal Green or Collison or Lawson, Ingles, and Green. That's all and I'd be happy this offseason.
I am all for that x100. I was looking around and I read something about how Ainge refusing to put Crowder in any deals for the big name SF's is what sunk those deals. I know they love Crowder but jeez. If it's true he'd probably give up one of those firsts before Crowder. The Kings need to watch the C's closely. They might be able to get their pick back. I'm not sure how the terms of the deal with the Sixers would complicate things.

I'd take all veteran options away from Joerger. The compromise would be Temple playing SF if he likes.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Bogdan get some minutes at point guard. Not as a starting PG but if we dont sign anyone maybe he/Temple/Mason split backup duties. That would also free up a roster space and allow us to keep a guy like Malachi on the roster.

Fox and Mason splitting primary minutes with Temple and BB stepping in from time to time is a good scenario to me. Nothing wrong with taking early lumps as long as they have good coaching to learn from. Kids need NBA minutes more than absolutely anything.

Really good listen if you aren't already. Amick spitballing the Kings Free Agency situation. Starts Kings talk at 10:54...

Since Amick is the source I have to take these rumors seriously so go ahead and sign me up for Millsap max on a 2 yr deal. IMO Hill wont have any interest.

2. Hill

Interesting Amick's opinion that Rudy may be the best option for Kings to bring back to cover the need at the 3 and provide scoring for a roster that with its current make up will struggle to score.

If we go down a Millsap/Holiday/Hill/Gay route then I will be really disappointed.
No words really.

Struggle to score? Hmmm... interesting take. IMO with Fox, Hield, Skal and an up tempo offense with a finished like Willie the Kings should hardly struggle to score.

Completely agree.
I think we will go through stretches where we will struggle to score that's for sure, however every young team does.
What's important is how they learn from it and how they overcome it, having the coaches and vets on the team pushing them and encouraging them is crucial.
I think we are in a different situation than a normal young team too. A couple of our young guys aren't THAT young. BB (if he comes over), Willie and Buddy aren't your typical inexperienced players.
An uptempo offense will give opposition teams absolute fits some nights, other nights we will suck completely, it's all part of the process though.

Yeah there are better fits but what does anyone know at this point?
I found Gallinari an interesting option. He is a guy that can get his own shot when the offense breaks down and can hit spot up 3s . He may not get the attention some others do due to injury concerns, which would bother us less since we don't plan on wining many games anyway. He can defend and 3 and 4. Basically a stopgap that may fit our needs. Of course I want to get a young guy that can grow with the team but if that isn't in the cards and we need to spend cap, Gallinari isn't chop liver.

Divac probably does like Gallo. Probably reminds him of a poor mans Peja. I don't know if Gallo fits Joerger's system though
