West getting stronger and we're getting Dennis Schroder! I wonder what it would take for Vivek to realize this roster has no upside and green light a rebuild?

While Schroder is an underwhelming signing in a vacuum, I can't help but acknowledge he does improve the team on both sides of the court. Kings got better and it's a bridge player contract. It was necessary

wait, so when we have a good draft it's Scott Perry, but when we sign bums it's Vivek?

What does one thing have to do with the other? I don't know why you have been going so far out of your way to defend Vivek, of course I don't think he's the one out here drafting negotiating contracts. What I do believe is there is a directive from him to remain competitive which both the draft and free agency (so far) seem to point towards. Do you believe there is not a directive to win now?

Apparently S&T dumping Monk for Schroder to open cap space to sign Russ...

We need to at least get a first back if that's the move.

Malik left a seriously bad taste with his play post trade... I thought he could've taken the opportunity, post Fox, to establish a starting career and just take off but he just totally crapped the bed.. just totally...

Its hard to look objectively as that 6th man when he let me down so hard post Fox trade... When he was on his game as a sixth man, like his first year here, he could really change things off the bench. But critically, he's inefficient and not a defender... I can see Perry's view on that

Dario 5m expiring. Lyles replacement? Confidence in Raynaud to step in and back up Sabonis day one?

OMG… the Kangz era just continues, no matter the GM name. Another awful trade, why trading a nice back-up center with a nice contract? To save 5 millions and throw them to Westbrook?

We were limited to offering only just above 5m annually because of the situation where Memphis declined his 4th year option. 6m was more than we were allowed to offer.

3/45 for Schroder, looks like no S&T. Waiting patiently on one of Monk/Derozan/Lavine to be moved.

Ok.. thank you for the clarification. Not sure if that 1m was really the difference in his choice.

After watching Schroder with the Warriors no way I would sign him and give him 45 million. Dumping a good back up center for Dario when the Lakers and Warriors are looking for a center is stupid. We should have tried to make a deal for Kumiga.

Return to Sacramento Kings
