Who the hell cares, with effing McCain probably win I just as soon vote for Billary or Osama. I mean at least they'll get the credit then when the country goes to hell in a handbasket when they take over.
Now that your boy has shown his true colors as a quitter when the going gets rough, Barack thanks you for your support.

^ LOL.
On the rebuilding tip though I would rather us rebuild when there is a CLEAR means to an end rather than try to forge a road to a destination...if that makes sense. I don't want to just throw away the playoffs just to get young & hopeful The T-Wolves are doing that and who knows if they will ever be a great team. Memphis is about to do it. The Clippers have been doing it.
I'm not opposed to ANY move as long as there is a CLEAR reason for it and it leads to the team progressing. If there is someone in the draft the Kings covet then get in the draft to get that guy. I don't want us to just try to get the best position in the draft and hope something good lands our way. I don't mind waiting until that happens either.

I guess doing the Math and being gracious = quitter by KIE's terminology?
Funny how the pot calls the kettle black....Greg Oden's addition anyone?

Going back to where I started with this. i don't feel that we even have a 45 win team at this point, because a 45 win team beats the crappy teams 2 out of 3. So far this season we're .500 at BEST against the garbage of the league. We have a group of vets here that are so self-serving that they actually think that they are an elite group (except maybe Brad - I think he quit on Musselhead last year more than anything). At least when the young guys were getting the lion's share of the PT, they were giving 100% EVERY NIGHT and acting as if they werre fighting the last game of the Finals. They were getting great game experience in key situations when it counted. Now all of a sudden we're doing this maybe we can make the playoffs with our current group thing, and it is doing NOTHING for this teams' long term development OR increasing player values for trade. If anything, Bibby is looking just as bad as everybody says he would because he obviously knows he's a lame duck and acts the part 100%. I say that's fine, ship his ass to some NBA siberia like Clipperland or Memphis or Minnesota and let him ROT! There's always somebody out there (see Chris Wallace) who's dumb enough to absorb guys like him. Just take whatever expirings we can get, tell the Magoofs to eat the tax for one year and negotiate a friggin' BUYOUT of KT, and move Ron to the highest bidder along about Feb. 20th. Keep Brad because he can still teach Spencer how to play right and show everybody else how to hustle and shoot.

You won't have this same roster fully healthy for one more year. Ron will opt out, if he is still on the roster past 2/21, and Petire will not re-sign him.

I know but IMO Salmons fit with the team in terms of the flow of the offense...
John may be a better fit in some respects, but there is no way this team is just as good as it was without Ron Artest. He just makes too big of an over all difference in the game.

True, but to be fair we will be a more motion offense i.e. the ball is moved around...Artest provides us his mismatched against opponents in the post...Anyways, my point is it is given that Artest will not be with us for next season and Salmons will start...(I believe that we wont lose that MUCH of potency IMO)

But we can't afford to lose any if we want to be a playoff team. The west is just too strong.

IMO we are NOT making to the playoffs this year... We will be very close but to only fall short... Assuming Artest is opting out, our line up will be fir next season:
(healthy):
Bibby
Martin
Salmons
Moore
Miller
Assuming that they (Martin/Salmons) will be actually better for next season, we could be actually be better with a team w/o Artest IMO... Also, assuming Bibby is back to himself...Miller continues playing like a madman.... I know Artest presence is huge for us but to me it will balance out due to the stated reasons provided IMO...

Not sure if this makes sense for you guys but just looking for some insight
Miami deals
PG Jason Williams Expiring
SG Ricky Davis Expiring
C Mark Blount
for
PG Mike Bibby
C Brad Miller
This is obviously a salary purge trade for you guys but should give you plenty of cap space. Blount's deal is 10 mil less then Miller so you guys also get savings in that matter.
