What do you expect them to offer?
If Jackson lasts to 5 we can go him and WCS.
I know they can go more than that, but we can absorb Noah.

If it's top 4 pick plus starter Ainge could send

#3 /Brown

Plus Boston could still sign Hayward

I was thinking Brown, but with Jackson?
I think if Boston gets the Zinger they might have to pay the no salary relief tax that Phil should attach and demand at least another 1st. That's why I think Vlade could be a player in this.
Phil should have kept his mouth shut though, I think the Kings might have gone full tilt with a Jackson/10/WCS for Zinger/Noah deal.
That 10 could be DSJ or Monk and the Knicks would have the start of a decent young team on their hands.

I would consider a trade down with Minny if they threw in Rubio.

Pass. He's already 26. By the time our other players are coming into their prime, we would be looking for a new PG.

With the cap just dropping to 99 million now . This now gives us far more leverage and a much greater chance at being able to gain future picks by taking on contracts . Also IMO gives up a greater chance at landing an upper tier type free agent or two now as not many other teams will really have serious money to spend .

That may change tomorrow with trades but as of now . We are in great striking position .

Hopefully the Kings are letting teams know they are open for business, but the dump is costly.

I like Porzingis, but I hope the Kings don't even consider breaking the bank for him. If 10, maybe Malachi, and a dump didn't get it done then oh well. Jackson might be smart with Porzingis here if he thinks he may have topped out as a prospect. The 3rd year for Porzingis will be make or break for him production wise. Another solid but not spectacular year as an 18 and 7 big would sink his value way below the asking price being reported now. Either Jackson is trying to send him a message, or he's getting out while the value is high. I'd rather just stick with Skal and the picks if it were me. If Porzingis came out and jumped to that extra level next year then he's probably worth the package deal they are demanding.

I can understand not breaking the bank on him, however I would give up a fair amount for him. The only thing I am worried about is his injury history so i would want to make sure on that before I offered anything tbh

There are two related reports that suggest Suns are attempting to trade Bledsoe and/or 4#.

If they trade Bledsoe but not their pick, it is highly likely that they draft Fox.

if they trade both of them or only the draft pick, it depends on their trade partner and I have a feeling that Knicks will pull the trigger for Porzignis.

I am so excited for tonight and expecting lots of trades involving picks. Both 3# and 4# might be moved so it is hard to imagine how Kings will end up.

Bledsoe just don't match Suns strategy so they're trying to get something in return before it's too late. I still think they are targeting Isaac or Tatum/Jackson if someone of them falls. They have Ulis and Booker, who plays on ball a lot.

I think Minny is trying to figure this out. At the beginning of last year - they definitely wanted Rubio gone but there were no takers. Then he started playing better at the end of the season. If they just want a salary dump (after the draft) we have Afflalo. We might be able to "steal" him without giving up any assets. Not probably but possible depending on what Minny wants to do...

I think Fox/Rubio wouldn't be too bad at all at PG.

This - Portland is so F*cked. We could definitely pick up some assets. But, it will definitely take some deft maneuvering.

The following was copy/pasted from the RealGM profile page of Harry Giles. I guess we can just wait until after the draft and sign him lol

NBA Transactions

Jun 22, 2017 - Harry Giles went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft making him an Unrestricted FA.

Okay, I guess it says that for all the prospects.

Apparently we are interested in Drummond?

A three team trade involving the Kings has LaMarcus Aldridge being shipped back to Portland. The proposed trade has Evan Turner, Meyers Leonard and draft considerations going to Sacramento and San Antonio. More to come as we hear the details.

Does this sound realistic? lol

I wouldn't mind if we didn't have to give anything valuable up. He has a huge salary, but that's not a big deal for us now. Maybe he can resurrect his career. He's still only 23.

Draftmas morning thoughts:

#1: The pessimist in me says that Ainge nabs Fox at #3. He fits the Ainge archetype: smart, athletic, defensive potential, and no one thinks he's on the radar. Remember last year? Everyone had Brown falling to us at 8 (if not further). No one had him going at 3. Then Ainge nabs him.

#2: Of the realistic scenarios on the table (ie not including things like Vlade drafting John Collins @ 5) the worst I can think of is the draft starting with Fultz, Ball, Smith Jr, and Fox (in some order). Sure it leaves the Kings with Jackson (I'm not a fan), but it also leaves them completely without a PG at 5 and with little hope that Ntilikina falls to 10.

#3: My (realistic) dream scenario is Fox at 5 and Ntilikina or Monk at 10 followed by Bolden or Bell at 34.

#4: Really hope we hear Markkanen or Collins' name called before the 10th pick. That would mean one of the big 9 will be there at 10

#5: Overall I want a relative quiet draft from the Kings. Don't move the 5. Don't panic. Take BPA at 10. Talk to Portland about contracts for picks. None of this LMA, Porzingis, Drummond crap.
