Drummond for his career is a 38% FT shooter. Yuck. Defensive WS look awesome.

Leonard's contract isn't the one playing basketball. You don't play a player just because he is paid a lot, and you especially don't trade someone away to play someone who sucks. I want Koufos traded for a pick either way, but not because of getting Meyers Leonard lol. Do you not realize he's 7'1" and got 0.4 blocks per game and shot 38% FG?....

I never said play him for the sake of playing him .
I think he would get minutes though he would be a back up .
I hope we do not get him .

Perry was in Detroit when they drafted Drummond so it makes sense. However where does that leave WCS and Papagiannis. Who's the odd man out? Has Willie expressed his feelings to leave? Is this all smoke?

10/Koufos for 12/Drummond is more than fair since Drummond has a huge cap hit and Det needs flexibility.

It's odd because the year we drafted Jimmer I was wanting Drummond .

I hope we get him but do not move the wrong parts for him .

Wow I was looking at Pistons sites and their trade ideas are Willie and the 5th pick or at least Willie and the 10th. They are completely delusional. And they were calling Koufos and Temple trash salary dumps. They are clueless.

Yeah only two years ago they felt he was top 5 in trade value. Pistons fans are in for a rude awakening.

Kings are also talking with the Knicks for Krispas however I do not think we will get him .

I know that the # 5 & Willy or Pappa + Richardson have been in talks .
Boston has more to offer obviously I don't think we will get him .
Suns & Lakers are trying hard for him as well

This is what all their comments look like:

Over on brewhoop I did this trade days ago, I got vonleh, then flipped himm
Sacramento receives: Drummond, Vonleh, 56

Detroit receives:10, Willie Cauley-Stein, Skal Labissiere, Kosta Koufos and Aaron Afflalo

The 5th and the 10th are enticing. Or a future pick, though i doubt the Kings can trade more picks at this point.
From their players i like WCS and of course Papagiannis. Malachi Richardson could be nice too.

Agreed, needs to include WCS and #5
Do we then take Afflalo too and cut him (1.5mil guaranteed) for more space? Does someone like Afflalo stay and fill that Veteran role that SVG has been talking about? How much of a dumpster fire is Garrett Temple?

ALL THE QUESTIONS.

I think WCS and 10th is too low ok Dre no?
Maybe the 5th but 10th?

T Young was 16th pick last year right?

I know, how about this!
Andre Drummond
Marcus Morris

for

Willie Cauley-Stein
Arron Afflalo (waive)
Garrett Temple
#5/10 (I honestly don’t care)

…..From my offseason plan.

I wonder if this is what we look like when other teams look at our board haha. I know we have a slight rep for constantly shooting down every trade offer on the T&T board. i guess every fanbase looks at deals thru homer colored glasses but some of those made me literally laugh out loud.

I think Minny is trying to figure this out. At the beginning of last year - they definitely wanted Rubio gone but there were no takers. Then he started playing better at the end of the season. If they just want a salary dump (after the draft) we have Afflalo. We might be able to "steal" him without giving up any assets. Not probably but possible depending on what Minny wants to do...

I think Fox/Rubio wouldn't be too bad at all at PG
.

that would be the worst shooting PG tandem ever. I was thinking trade Rubio and get a SF like Tatum or Issac at 5 and whoever at 10

That would be okay as long as you have shooters around them... also, Rubio seems to have found his shot :)

Pistons trade would be us trading Afflalo & the 10th in a deal for Drummand .

I understand that I was just letting you all know what we would be dealing to be involved if a deal did happen

I really think the Drummond deal may happen and it is possible we can get their 12th pick in such a deal .

Willie for Drummond and the 12th would be nice. Willie and the 12th pick are similar in value so it would be like getting Drummond off their books for them. Watch us all be completely off and we back up the truck for Drummond. That wouldn't be good.

rpa wrote:Draftmas morning thoughts:

#1: The pessimist in me says that Ainge nabs Fox at #3. He fits the Ainge archetype: smart, athletic, defensive potential, and no one thinks he's on the radar. Remember last year? Everyone had Brown falling to us at 8 (if not further). No one had him going at 3. Then Ainge nabs him.

#2: Of the realistic scenarios on the table (ie not including things like Vlade drafting John Collins @ 5) the worst I can think of is the draft starting with Fultz, Ball, Smith Jr, and Fox (in some order). Sure it leaves the Kings with Jackson (I'm not a fan), but it also leaves them completely without a PG at 5 and with little hope that Ntilikina falls to 10.

#3: My (realistic) dream scenario is Fox at 5 and Ntilikina or Monk at 10 followed by Bolden or Bell at 34.

#4: Really hope we hear Markkanen or Collins' name called before the 10th pick. That would mean one of the big 9 will be there at 10

#5: Overall I want a relative quiet draft from the Kings. Don't move the 5. Don't panic. Take BPA at 10. Talk to Portland about contracts for picks. None of this LMA, Porzingis, Drummond crap.

Fox, Monk, and Bell. Too good to be true.

It's not likely an exact deal however I can almost 100% guarantee you if we trade with the Pistons Afflalo is largely involved & likely Koufas + the 10th pick . We may get the 12th back in a deal .

Talks are very deep so something very well could happen very soon.

Too bad most of what's wrong with him doesn't appear to be fixable. Not a fan of Drummond on this team, but if it's for almost nothing it's not too bad. Then again, that's a lot of money for a style of player that is quickly going out of style.

Return to Sacramento Kings
