It matters because the Kings lose leverage and value of the draft pick if they were to trade it. It’s easy for other teams to negotiate against Vlade if the opposing side have information.

It’s like whenever the Kings open their mouths, it is almost always lol worthy.

If you look at all the back and forth, contradictory information it tells me they are either playing games with all the media types and dishing out a little revenge or they are completely psychotic in the FO. I lean towards the former unless they select Trae Young or a surprise WTF player like Porter Jr. at 2.

Bagley isn't a trade down guy. No way. I don't care if he busts, he could be the best overall player in the draft and that doesn't slip unless something came back in his medicals that scares teams.

My point was you can trade down and still get him. Bunch of teams are trying to move up to get Doncic.

All you guys thinking its still a smokescreen are trippin...it's over. The Kings have let Bagley's camp know they are rolling with him.

After it was announced the Kings would draft Bagley one of the national guys reveiled Chicago was a team trying to move up for Bagley if he fell past us.

Trading down farther than 2 spots will most assuredly cause you to miss out on Bagley. If he drops to those teams he's got red flags we didn't hear about.

If I was GM and I wanted Bagley, the day of the Lotto I would have put reports we are 100% set on Doncic. Then day of draft if ATL really wants him, we can offer up WCS/Jackson/#2 for #3/Prince. At least then we get a legit small forward and our guy.

It won't influence the Suns.

They only worked him out because he was one of a few even willing to come here to do so . He only was willing because he has an infatuation of being the highest drafted . That would be a good thing if that meant you were the best . He is selfish in regards to only care about being highest drafted rather than being happy , a god fit etc. His mentality sucks !

Wow, you are really grasping here.

So him saying he'd like to be drafted by Sac is a bad thing now? C'mon man.

1. Kings fans will go from depressed to happy in an instant.
2. Vlade/Vivek will prove that leaks dont happen from our front office.
3. They laugh at Woj whose consistently hated the Kings.

Can this please be the reality?!

The former makes it sound like the Kings are being petty. And that would be embarrassing if that was the case. A professional sports team doing all of that...for what? Just to "get back" at the media for all of those years of "mistreatment" boo whoo!! A lot of it is WELL DESERVED because the Kings shot themselves on the foot more times than not.

The latter is more plausible because I believe the FO are incompetent as they are.

This is what makes me think the interest in Bagley could still be smokescreen. If you know teams would be willing to trade up for Doncic, which obviously a lot are with the reports of teams trying to trade with ATL, then why not put out the reports you're interested in Doncic to field those offers as well even if Bagley is your guy. I know the FO hasn't been great, or even good, really but I'd have to give them the benefit of the doubt that they wouldn't at least kill any leverage of a trade down themselves.

Vivek and Vlade are hopeless and this just proves it. We finally get lucky in the draft and get a chance to draft exactly who we need in Luka and lovely we go with Bagley. Just another day as a Kings fan, so beautiful. Not even sure what else to say, this is extremely frustrating

I'm gonna lose it when the Hawks drafts Doncic and trade him to Dallas for their pick + asset(s).
