Remember Vlade/Joerger’s on the hot seat, so the pick to them will be about short term v long term

I’m confident a trade is coming to get into the 14/15 range

It matters because the Kings lose leverage and value of the draft pick if they were to trade it. It’s easy for other teams to negotiate against Vlade if the opposing side have information.

It’s like whenever the Kings open their mouths, it is almost always lol worthy.

If you look at all the back and forth, contradictory information it tells me they are either playing games with all the media types and dishing out a little revenge or they are completely psychotic in the FO. I lean towards the former unless they select Trae Young or a surprise WTF player like Porter Jr. at 2.

The former makes it sound like the Kings are being petty. And that would be embarrassing if that was the case. A professional sports team doing all of that...for what? Just to "get back" at the media for all of those years of "mistreatment" boo whoo!! A lot of it is WELL DESERVED because the Kings shot themselves on the foot more times than not.

The latter is more plausible because I believe the FO are incompetent as they are.

Eh, tit for tat. The Media has been petty at times as well. There is always a 3rd option too. There could always be a disgruntled 3rd party still dishing out bad info to make the Kings looks bad.

On opening night the kings better roll out what could be considered a SL roster. Meaning, let the young guys play!

Still, doesn't look good. Especially the optics of this. This adds to the list of why the Kings still remains a laughing stock. Why can't they operate as a classy and professional organization?

And I doubt Pete has any remaining contacts within the Kings to leak out damaging information. Vlade and co have expunge most of that trash with their trash of their own

You don't need contacts to send BS out to the media. Clearly there is something going on here. We've had literally some of the most trusted "insiders" totally contradict one another. I really hope it is the Kings F'ing with them. If it is it's borderline genius.

Luka made too much sense at 2. Trading in to the middle of the first round makes too much sense too. That is why it won’t happen. My pessimism has finally taken over.

Yeah, I get the feeling the Kings had so much movement on draft night the last 2 years that they stay relatively quiet tonight.

From what I can tell, ever since Amick left town, the Kings local guys have almost NO inside information. They don't know much at all. It's almost sad. They only pass on information given to them. Breadcrumbs at most.

The ones that know are guys that operate OUTSIDE Sacramento like Amick, Woj, etc. I trust those guys over anything that comes from our local guys.

With the NBA going faster with more shooting why take Bagley? Why commit picks to Bagley, WCS, and Giles? Seems like a slow team. Fox wants to go fast and your drafting slow around him. These guys need easy buckets, take the passing savant.

At this point I doubt Shams or Woj confidently say we are taking Bagley without a legit source giving them that info. When Shams confirmed, a piece of me died inside.

Bagley and Willie being slow is not how I would describe them. I bet they'd beat Doncic end to end in a race. I do understand the sentiment however.

Oh yeah, with Fox, WCS, Bagley and I guess if Giles can move like he used too it won't be slow.

That sort of lineup with Karl would have been something else.

Because we are the Kings and nothing we do ever makes sense. Choosing Bagley just adds to the long list of reasons why we are the laughing stock of the NBA. There's no more defending the Kings, it's time to just accept we will be atrocious for years to come.
