MAN! I wished we picked Semi. Boston got themselves a steal. He can guard multiple positions, physical, explosive, adequate jumper...just a bully. Thought he would have been perfect to go get another second round pick for

I hope the Kings are looking at who falls out. If we are talking SF/PF combos they need to look at Deonte Burton or Nigel Hayes. Both dudes are beasts.

Yeah thought we might go with Semi.

Very happy with the draft

Fox was a no brainer so it's hard to grade. I'd give him a solid B inching towards the plush, with the potential to either drop to a B- or rise to a solid A (dependent on Giles' development).

Just for kicks here are my knee-jerk grades:
De'Aaron Fox - A+
Pretty much a no-brainer. Without making a trade, this was probably the best pick they could've made. I just love Fox's fit, attitude, charisma, and skills. Fantastic pick.
Justin Jackson - B
I'm higher than most on Jackson. I think he is going to be a solid pro. I like his attitude and he has experienced what a winning culture is. He is a good add to our young squad. I liked Anunoby more here, but I am not an NBA exec. Hopefully that doesn't bit us.
Harry Giles - B
Anunoby was still available at this pick. I was screaming at the TV just hoping to hear OG, but I heard Giles. I can't say that this was a bad pick though. I'm actually surprised at how much I like this, seeing they passed on OG twice. Giles has high(!) potential, so I just don't see why this could be a bad pick. He could be very good or his knees could be shot and we have a bust at #20. It's a risk that a team like ours needs to take. I don't know who else I would take at this spot. Maybe Swanigan or Derrick White, but those would be reaches!
Frank Mason - B+
Man o man. I really like this guy. There were only three other players I would've considered here (Jordan Bell, Jonah Bolden, Semi Ojeleye). Ultimately, I think this was the right pick given the previous picks. Mason's work ethic, charisma, skills, and winning attitude will be extremely welcome in the city of trees.

Wonder if it was because Mason was still available?

I really loved the way Vlade and co went about this draft. Select the players you want and don't give up cap space in this draft, do it for future assets. Let's see what he can get with all that space, but with little roster spots.
