I find this significant to note. All 4 of our draft picks came for official workouts in Sacramento. Not just visits or us going to see them work out somewhere.

Overall have to be satisfied with the draft. Only question for me would be Giles but I understand going with high upside, he was a phenom in high school prior to injuries. I like Mason but just really hard to pass on Bell and Ojeleye. Tonight sign Jacob Wiley and waive Afflalo.
Going into free agency July 1 I'd resign Collison and sign Joe Ingles and JaMychal Green.
Fox/Collison/Mason
Hield/Bogdanovic/Richardson
Ingles/Temple/Jackson/Wiley
Green/Labissiere/Giles
Cauley-Stein/Koufos/Papagiannis

Apparently some teams had red flagged Jordan Bell with a foot problem??

Celtics need to clear space to sign GH. Jae for a second or two? Great vet to have on the team.

If we sign Joe Ingles after this draft and the guys we have currently I am going to lose my...you know what lol
Love Joe, he's an Aussie so I have to haha but why would we bury the young guys for a player that won't do anything here. He fits the style but he is absolutely, 100% not going to be a factor for any team by the time Sacramento is ready to be a playoff team.
Who cares if we win games next season, Temple, Jackson, Bogdanovic and Richardson can hold the position down for now unless someone who would be a part of our future comes along via trade or signing.
Temple and Koufas are great leaders for the young guys too so it's not for that reason.
Also I don't think Collison resigns here to come off the bench, although starting gigs at the 1 are fairly scarce so he might be in for a shock come FA.

Crowder would be a nice option at SF. I keep going back to Ingles because he led the league 3pt %, passes and handles the ball, plays defense, and knows his role. If we get top SF in 18 draft he'd easily move to back up.

He's a bridge to playing the way we want to play. You're right, he'll be long gone by the time the youngins are ready to contend but he'd also be a good guy to teach the young guys how to play (i.e. like Temple and Koufos).

With 4 draft picks even if Giles is put to the D Leauge Kings really only have 3 roster spots to fill as of now and that is without Benny Mac & A. A. , & any other free agents we had .

Can have total of 17 players. 15 NBA and 2 NBA/DLeague. And deuces to McLemore and Afflalo.

Giles should be one of the 2-way guys and Wiley would be my other choice.

I liked Oliver but I think his low basketball IQ is what hurt him. Plus he's only a PF. I like Wiley because he has crazy athleticism, plays with great energy, and is a SF/PF.

I can see us bringing back 1 of Collison or Lawson on a 1 year bigger contract , 2 years max with the 2nd being an option or buy out option next season to mentor our 2 newly drafted point guards .

I would hope if the C's are in the running for a big name FA, or they are all in on Gordon even after drafting Tatum, that the Kings are there waiting to help them make some room. Crowder would be a sweet pickup. And age wise he fits right in with the Kings new core.

Re: NBA 2017 Draft thread. 5th pick and 10th pick.
Post draft thoughts:
#1: Let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet.
#2: I thought the draft was OK. I think everyone thinks it was great because of the absurdly low bar we had to jump. I mean, as long as Vlade didn't get his dick stuck in a blender and have us draft some unknown Euro it was bound to be a win in most people's eyes.
Personally, I'd have gone BPA at 10 (Monk) and probably would have passed on Mason at 34 for Bolden (though after the Giles pick Bolden would have been a poor selection--can only have so many high upside big men on the roster).
#3: I think the direction is pretty obvious. Draft high character, high work ethic, and (generally) high motor guys who want to be here.
#4: On the one hand I was kind of annoyed that we didn't attempt to take on any salary for more picks, but then I realized what the Kings may be thinking. That is, bringing in more than 4 rooks seems like overkill. Plus the value of cap space goes up as more teams get closer to it. So instead of grabbing more 2017 picks now, wait until free agency and acquire 2018 picks.
#5: Really hoping for a high pick next year. Justin Jackson IMO isn't a starting caliber player. Replace him in the starting lineup with a guy like Porter and this team could look really good.
