Willie certainly hasn't won himself any favors with this new coaching staff in this summer league. It might be time to start thinking about his role in the front court because teams are going to defend him the same way they are here and it's completely screwing up the Kings spacing.

Hard to take away too much from these games in terms of how guys will be defended in the regular season. It's a lot harder to guard wcs this way when you have cousins and gay beside you instead of papa and Dukan

It depends on where the play Cousins. Remember, last year he hung around the 3 point line quite a bit so spacing wasn't an issue as much.

I said forcefully in the middle of game one, that this is a passionate fanbase that deserves to feel good about summer league like any other fanbase, and what are we getting instead? Four blow out losses? Questioning whether or not our prized 6th pick from last year is a half efforted kid who will needs to be prodded to be a rotation player with holes? Questioning the 13th pick? Cousins not looking like he's filling the backup pg hole?

I'm not going to be down on the draft as moving back for Bogdanovic and another pick was the right move. And I love Skal, but he was a no duh pick. Richardson can or cannot pan out. But still there are questions about Vlade that will be asked going forward, and I hope it works out

skal was the only positive for the kings this game and maybe dukan (1st half)... still can't believe some people didn't want to trade or inlude wcs in acquiring guys like jimmy butler.. he has been overrated value wise by a lot of the kings fans

Terrible draft picks so far, luckily Skal looking really good but that pick is more luck than anything, the others are big blunders :/

I think Papagiannis looked good in this game. His mobility combined with that size and willingness to play physical ball bodes well for him.

I don't think anyone saw Vlade adding 15 more big men to the pile in the draft.

Willie can be a great role player, but bad hands, on and off effort and a lack of pure talent look like that will squash that idea of him being some transcendent talent like we heard some of his trainers say pre-draft. I still see him as that potential Scot Pollard type if he brings it every game like Scot did.

ICuz also looked under control for his first game. His shot wasn't falling but he's huge for a PG and he can run your offense from the looks of it.

yeah his on and off effort is a concern, his rebounding is concern as well he relies too much on his length.. offensively his touch is not good, and he will really miss rondo with those lobs...

Yup we could have got butler even though they denied a Dunn/lavine offer. Lol come on man

How was skal a no duh pick? He became that after the first 20picks and teams still passed on him. How bout giving Vlade credit at the bare minimum he turned 8 into Skal, bogdan and a serviceable 7footer

I question motor/lack of effort as was his draft profile. Love for game and work ethic were question marks. Showing up to camps out of shape, his effort on the boards/D. I fear he's a talented kid who the coach will have to ring his neck to get 100%. Can he be successful if your plugging him into a specific role in a specific system? I guess but I don't see him being a franchise guy now, and I'm a homer who usually overrates our guys

I did give him credit for that trade. I said i preferred Papa/Bogdanovic/Skal to 8 all day, every day.

Skal was consensus at 28, that's why he was the clear pick IMO

the positives that I've seen from him is he boxes out, his mobility, sets screens and is physical..other than that i see a very raw player.. offensively he looks lost, turnover prone (puts the ball low allowing defenders to swipe at it). i wouldn't give him more than 15 min a game this year...
