Draft Thread - Kings move up to #4

I thought Murray is BPA at 4. So this pick selection is fine with me.

That being said, I really was hoping that Monte was going to trade down and nab win-now pieces.

Yeah, I wanted to trade for good value, but if we had to pick at 4, it would def be Murray for me.

I'm guessing that the Monte's asking price for the 4 was very high. I actually liked Monte stood his ground. If there wasn't a deal out there to compel Monte to trade the 4, keep the pick.

You have to give him credit for that. He gave it a shot, didn't work, but I think we are seeing that across the board. Ben Simmons, didn't move off what he wanted, Collins deal, both last year and this (still to be determined) so IMO that at least means he won't get fleeced in trades.

I'm disappointed the team didn't capitalize on Ivey's value but it is what it is I'm not going to tear down the kid. Murray is a really good player and I think he's going to help more in the short term than Ivey would have. Time will tell if this was the right decision but I think Murray is a good player.

I’m disappointed but I will support Murray hard. Hopefully he comes in average 20ppg. I am definitely down on the fact we didn’t get value from Ivey. If he explodes, we will never hear the end of it

You would think so. Murray was clearly Monte's guy so I don't think he trades him and I don't think there is anyone else on the roster that is "available" that would be traded for a pick.

Really happy with the Keegan pick. I think he was always our guy and he was never making it past 6 so trading down for him wasn't option. I think he's going to help big time on both ends for us.

I'd offer clippers a heavily protected 1st + Holiday + Holmes for Powell.

I guess the Suns are possible, but I'd expect them to do a sign & trade. So would depend on who they got back.
