Kings have multiple possible trades on the table right now .

Involvng Buddy , Marvin & Barnes possibly

Most possible deals are pending teams free agency . Some teams have other first option targets . If they miss out in some cases thats were deals will start happening .

Kuzma is still a possibility .

We are still talking to Philly , Tor , Memphis mostly however we are talking to more than half of the teams which is what we should be doing .

I will 100% guarantee everyone here Kings will make a trade today or tomorrow . This you can book it !

I wish I could tell everyone a specic deal right now but we have to many diffent trade scenerious right now and many of can fall through based on free agency signings , teams losing cap space etc.

I'm in the boat of don't like it, don't hate it. The difference between Delon Wright and Tristan Thompson is probably a 2nd round pick so I'm not going to pound the table on how this trade sucked.

The reasoning makes up for whatever value was lost in the deal. Grabbing a decent big was a must.

I think that I have been clear that I think it’s a good roster balancing move and fills a need while clearing a glut of guards.

Keep in mind that we have to see about Davis as well. We tendered the offer and so far we haven’t heard about him getting one.

We might see him back in a super reasonable deal. That would be nice.

If the Kings are truly preparing a big offer for Holmes you might as well go next tier for the 23 year old Allen. Bobby Marks predicts Allen will command $18-$20M per year.

I could get behind this. I have been a big fan of Allen for a few years. I don't like paying big men that amount of money without being a real key piece but there are limited ways for this Kings team to improve and I just don't see Sacramento making a play for the POs unless Monte can make a key signing (like this as how many players would want to come) and making a big trade with Buddy/Barnes/Picks as the offer.

Allen is pretty meh to me at $20 million. I think Jaxson Hayes is a better prospect who could be had for considerably cheaper, or even some kind of Golden State deal where they get Mitchell and some vets in exchange for Wiggins/Wiseman/Moody or some pick would be preferable. Honestly even Queta was the #2-3 center in this draft to me and I'd rather just see what he could do because I sincerely doubt Allen is enough of an upgrade over Holmes in the short-term (he's 23, which makes him a relatively young player but not likely to improve a ton more) to not just look at younger prospects.

2 picks and 1 swap work for ya?

Id do it. In a heart beat. Then throw some money at Josh Hart.

Holmes/Len
Siakam/Harkless
Barnes/Hart
Haliburton/Delon
Fox/Mitchell

This team makes the playoffs no doubt in my mind.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.

Two and a swap seems about the right value. Hart I'm pretty indifferent on but it does seem like a very solid, balanced lineup with solid depth adding Hart and Siakam plus bringing in Len and Mitchell.

Raptors fans watching what could have been for them with Siakam/Holmes. We would never hear the end of it lol

Honestly of everyone we've had conversations about, I love Siakam here. I kinda throw out this last year for him. Miscast as the first option, bad team, covid, playing in Tampa. Was a really weird year for him.

Lots of pros -
Still only 27 years old
Had 2 years where he was a plus shooter.
Can pass
Can defend
Championship experience

The only cons are -
Injured currently
Big contract

But if Toronto is committed to a rebuild, Id love to make this happen. Wonder if Toronto would rather have Schroder than Buddy?

I agree that the baseline deal is Buddy/Bags two picks and possibly a swap.

I have no problem paying that price. And the. Adding either Hart or a vet will balance out the roster.

So what does this do for TOR? Because a trade has to be something for everyone.

The picks are obvious. They get a fairly cheap flyer on Marvin in new scenery and an organization that excels in developing young players. If they start off by moving OG to PF (which he is more than capable of playing) and GT to SF, a backcourt of FVV at PG and Buddy is pretty nasty to deal with.

I actually see this as a two way win and SAC is taking the bigger risk because of the loss of draft capital if it doesn’t work.

Something I mentioned almost 2 weeks ago that Sam Amick is now reporting Kinga have interest in Sikiam from Tor .

Could we be shipping Buddy , Marvin etc. ?

I actually re confirmed this with my source again & Kings may be in a blockbuster ?

Im not too big Pascal Siakam. Not the most efficient player, his three deserted him last year, average defensively..

They aren't taking our scraps, wed have to give serious value

Return to Sacramento Kings
