Yeah, that would be nice. Well for now, we can dream.

Tyreke is clearly not a team player. DeMarcus is immature and proving why four GM's were so smart to pass on him. Our coach is terrible. We have a terrible culture and atmosphere. The team doesn't understand any concept of a team.

Trade Tyreke for pennies on the dollar. Trade DeMarcus for pennies on the dollar. Keep Thornton and Hayes. And let's pray for Drummond and Shabazz

If the Kings rebuild it would be bad for Sacramento.

Let's accept the reality, our previous "rebuilding" effort has been a failure.

We've had five lotto picks in the past five years and how many of them have worked out?

Hawes? Nope.
Thompson? Bench player
Tyreke? Too selfish and doesn't understand how to play team ball, no
DeMarcus? Well...this kind of destroyed that
Jimmer? Too early to tell, but isn't a PG and can't play defense...appears to be a 6th man type of a player.

Kings just losing Cousins like this would be pretty crippling, most likely. Not sure you could get another young big like him right now as talented, give him more time to mature and with a better coach.

Unless it becomes obvious, Westphal's at fault here and should be fired. This seems way too dramatic and direct coming down on Cousins like this.

If the Kings deal Cousins and don't get a dynamic young big in return - they just set themselves back a whole year or two.

But again, the issue is that management seems to be behind the statement.

All I can say is they better have a plan then. Really liked how this franchise was looking in rebuilding. Cousins and Evans can be coached and utilized better than they have been.

The best selection we've made in the past five years (essentially the only great/good selection) was DeMarcus. And if there are any truth to this report, we've essentially thrown away five lottery picks.

Yes but again -

It is much more likely that Cousins said something in the likes directly due to Paul himself being in the franchine and staying as head coach. - if he indeed said it.

In that case I do not blaim him one single bit. you see Tyrekes comments, u see the comments of all the dudes who left us (Ime, Omri, Spec etc) - Paul is a PROBLEM.

I hope to god our FO doesn't pick Westfail side in this whole mess, that would be literally a spit in the face of the players and fans alike.

Not sure what this is based on.

And I remember Ime's comments, but not Omri's. And who is Spec?

Well nothing can be based on anything, it's all a matter of who do you believe I guess - but honestly looking at this whole mess, if indeed Cousins said he wanted a trade - is it not alot more reasonable, due to the heart of the issue, to be directly cause of the coach? with the reports of other players like tyreke showing same frustration? with the fact that since he's here - other then the first half of his first season - we're only going backwards or at best sideways - but not at all moving forward?

I would much more believe that IF demarcous said such a thing, it would be cause of the coach and the coach alone.

And I ment spenc who also had a beef with coach, and Omri here in Israel(and especielly his father) always hinted and adressed the coach as the biggest problem.

That's still too hasty to say in general. Tyreke could still figure things out.

As I see it, we have to try to make this work. We haven't even given it that much time.

Just seems like it'll be hard to do now. That bridge has to be burnt to a crisp.

Be interesting to see how Napier goes about this - who will he sway to for his offensive basketball loving ways? Will he just day dream for old times to come back?

Wesphal is a weak coach.. Robert Horry dont respect him at all..I dont know if you guys rmember that? I think Kings need to trade cousins ( you can never win with him ) he is not that good. Avery over rated big man. Westphal is a bad coach....we lots of trading chips...mayeb we can get howard..long shot but we can try.

Or it could also be because Demarcus has always had problems like this--like, forever.

2007 - Hawes failed draft selection
2008 - Drafted an average bench player
2009 - Tyreke appears to be more of a let down with every game he plays...
2010 - Depends on the validity of this report
2011 - Sure, overstatement on Jimmer since it's still "too" early to tell

The Kings were looking promising. Now you are talking about another rebuild.... you know how taxing that is? Can Sacramento afford that? Rebuilding is terrible, it's a worse case scenario for me. If you don't hit that home run in the draft you are screwed for YEARS.

It's just funny because Westphal really was trying to do his best Nelly impression last year but things didn't seem all that bad this year.

The Kings publicizing some demand to be traded is wrong on so many levels however.

Westphal should have been canned last season but this is just strange timing for this.

Also a possibility, no doubt about it - but seeing that our biggest problem in the team, not only with Demarcus but alot of other players, has been the coach - I personally think IF he indeed said it, that that reason is much much more likely.

Hawes wasn't failed. We traded him for above his value as a player. Granted we wouldn't have had to if not for the stupid Noc trade, but we got fine value out of him as a #10 pick.

JT, with a bigger more consistent role could be a 3rd big on a very good team. That's fine for the #12 pick. It really is.

Tyreke still has all the talent in the world and you need to have some patience if you're going to expect him to change.

Demarcus was a risk. You were all for risks like this. The downside was this, but the upside was a superstar big man that we otherwise wouldn't have gotten.

For Jimmer, again, a great 6th man (which is also too early to tell) in a very weak draft is a fine enough pick. But we'll see.

 I know. Contract year? Who knows. But from Sacramento's standpoint, that draft pick was essentially thrown away.

This franchise fell apart the moment we fired Rick Aldeman.

Too early to give up on Cousins. He needs 2-3 years to mature as a whole.

Completely agree. He needs time to gel.
