I'm definitely on the other side though, get it over and done with, then you have the flexibility. The problem with having that '23 pick is you can't trade it until the draft has started (is that correct?) and if so, it restricts what trades, or the amount of upgrade we can seek in a trade.
Even if it is Sabonis after next season, we can only attach that pick with him on an upgrade.
If for whatever reason the Kings want to entertain an expiring Sabonis/Pick/Pick/Pick/Swaps type of package for a superstar, it's not an option.
Because we all know, to get a superstar the Kings have to draft him, or trade for him. The latter option is much harder, almost nonexistent with any of the Kings' players now until at least 2025.
