Re: 2025-26 General Thread
As a Domas fan, and given that he probably doesn't have the trade value for his talent, I don't mind him taking all year nursing this injury, and coming back next year playing with a top pick

Fellas, we have ourselves a strong tank that cannot be stopped by even a 4 win team playing bench players. The rebuild is in full swing. I'm actually happy. It's finally happening

Re: 2025-26 General Thread
Rebuilds should start with trading away your big fish. Difference makers who can add wins to our record need to be the first to go. I've been following the rumor mill and I like the trade involving Sabonis for Kuminga, Moody, the GSW 2026 FRP (unprotected), and GSW 2028 FRP (unprotected). It would increase the draft capital to a total of six first round picks over the next three drafts, along with Murray and Kuminga.

It looks like Memphis has officially had their fill of Ja... https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/282863/Grizzlies-Expected-To-Explore-Ja-Morants-Trade-Market
Ja/Melo/Trae apparently could be on the market... out of those three Trae does the most for me presuming health, if we are entertaining this. But yes it would continue the defense charade, I just think he's the most talented of the mentioned

Re: 2025-26 General Thread
Ellis on the block, according to wiretap..
I have mixed feelings on it. He's old enough not to be part of a rebuild and I dont like his personally due to his trade overtures (sixers/warriors) on social media.. He's a solid player though I always thought the net ratings did him more justice than he deserved and somewhat understand why multiple coaches haven't played him too many minutes

Re: 2025-26 General Thread
in terms of moving Keon, I keep hearing how we messed up not securing him as a restricted FA...
Whoever we move him to, can still sign him to an extension starting on feb 9, right? And they can sign him to a healthy extension, well before this summer. A guy like him who has never made a serious contract would bet on his health for over half a year if we move him to a team he is amenable to?
This isnt a Laravia situation I don't believe

I didn't see a trade thread, so just posting this here:
LAC gets DDR
PHI gets Collins, Monk, and Schröder
SAC gets Embiid, Gordon, Lowry, and 28 LAC 1st

Lavine been complaining about being here in so many words. “Most frustrated he’s been”, “never experienced this before”
That’s him and Demar now..

Doug is not coaching for the future, which is part of the negative job he's doing.. Still playing vets and not the youth in a wasted season. Management has to act soon and remove the vets, so we can just watch the rebuild

7 minutes for Keon
6 minutes for Clifford
While Westbrook, DDR, and Lavine getting mid 30 minutes while on pace for a 20 win season. Great work Christie and Co.

Can’t blame Doug for a mandate from an idiot (Vivek).
We all know where this stupidity is coming from. We need to talk with our wallets and do everything we can to encourage people to not go to games and not buy merchandise.
Vivek cannot move the team. But we can try to force better (hands off) behavior or a sale to someone who knows how to act with a sports franchise.

Vivek deserves the side eye for sure, but at this point we have to take the reports that he is allowing Perry to rebuild somewhat at face value... Given not only Perry's word that he has been given full discretion, but the reports around our players...
He might be allowing the FO are looking at a rebuild currently... meaning Doug might be coaching for himself and his resume...

Team is a joke and forever will be until Vivek can get out of the way (which realistically means sells the team). He saw those two wins last week and got excited to push all in again.
How on earth we are still playing these guys 30+ mins while Zach is the worst player on the court blows my mind.
Lots of Kings fans eating crow for cheering for us to trade the best player we had in 20 years, and build around a guy who has no offense moves, and a bunch of low effort defensive guys. So Sad.

This team was always doomed.
Just get rid of the vets and prioritize the youth.

Re: 2025-26 General Thread
Dead around here. Feel like maybe trade season will bring this back up?
Noticing all the die hards I know have already checked out on this team weeks ago. I'm guilty myself, usually watch 75-80 games a year, I've maybe watched 10.
How about trade predictions? Schroder? Monk? Demar? LaVine? Sabonis? Keon?
Top of my list to trade is Monk and Sabonis. Lets see if we can get any 1st + expirings for Sabonis. And Monk i'd happily take any expiring if It got him to a spot he wants. Boston for Simons would be fun for both? It's going to be sad when we include Keon in a trade for peanuts and he thrives on his new team.

Re: 2025-26 General Thread
Imagine Monte McNair in his next GM interview attempting to explain trading Haliburton for Sabonis and Fox for Lavine. That guy seriously doesn't get enough hate from Kings fans

yet people still blame Vivek. McNair makes that trade, the horrendous Fox situation, drafts a 22 y/o Carter knowing he was injured and out for 1/2 the year and somehow, someway, genius fans are like "fIrE tHe OwNer!"
Then Scott Perry, armed with a deep backcourt already, knowing we need a rebuild, drafts a 23 y/o guard and 22 y/o center, then gets Schroder and Westbrook so the young guys can't even play...but that's Vivek's fault? Then he overpays the definitively mid Keegan Murray (which elicits mostly applause from you guys btw) and you wonder why we suck and laughably blame the owner.
