Damn dudes. I really don't know what to think here. Losing Miller for cap space to sign a FA, or losing Garcia to get them to take Kenny... obviously the Milelr trade gives the magic more pieces to play with but the Garcia/Thomas trade lets them stay in a more reasonable wallet.

But enough on the Magic... I'm not sure I'm ready for Spencer to start O_O

You're just off on this, that's all.

Just look at how certain run n' gun teams have played, the roster, the make-up... then compare it to what Reggie's been saying (about offense and defense and rebounding) since he's arrived, and our current roster and main future players. Along with the PF that will be acquired probably in this years draft. If not then, then next year.

It all doesn't add up to this team playing up and down basketball as the identity and reliance to win games, for even the short-term and the extended future.

Eze says Otis might have lied to the Orlando insider (reporter from FL)

Do disrespect to Denton, but, I've talked to Otis quite a few times...lol...

Otis has no reason to acknowledge he's in trade discussions. This deal is a long way from being anything near complete...Otis wouldn't open his mouth about it.

According to Smills' scource the deal was never Miller AND Garcia... and I choose to believe in Smills' cause I refuse to believe Petrie was a idiot.

So Smill's Miller Or Thomas/Garcia sound much better both ways.

I have to agree.

I can't see that Miller/Garcia deal happening.

Trust me, this source is 100% real. Several Kings fans are signed up (and pay) for this site, and Eze (the mod) has called the AI trade, Marion trade, Bibby trade, etc sometimes HOURS before the trade has even been shown up on any other site.

i am sure its not miller and garcia

it has to be one of the 2 following

b.miller for a 1st and expirings or
garcia & k9 for expirings likely with no pick for them taking on k9's overpaid salary !

It's legit, the pieces aren't.

It's Brad for Expirings/Redick/1st

OR

Kenny/Garcia for Expirings

PLEASE be the latter. I love Garcia, but hate Kenny and his contract more.

Who cares about Kenny? Miller is a bigger contract, we get a young player (redick) and a first round pick. The first package is the better rebuilding package and in truth a little too good to be true.

BY ORLANDO

According to an Orlando insider, Otis (GM of Magic) said no because of Miller's contract. Apparently the insider spoke to him directly...

I don't like Garcia that much, but to get rid of him JUST to trade Miller... NO WAY!

As a Magic fan, i wouldnt put too much stock in that. Otis ussually keeps his cards close to him when it comes to the media and has said one thing to them and done another. I guess we will know by tomorow.

True. I doubt any GM would break a trade to a reporter. I trust Eze's word over a random reporter as well. So this deal may still live on!

GMcapable wrote:Why would we want Okafor you really think he is better than Brad. and like I said Josh Smith has no reason to come here he is on a young up and coming team that just got better. As for Jefferson he is a restricted FA and I dont think Minny will let him go.

If Hawes isn't a bust, Okafor/Hawes is A LOT better than Miller/Hawes. And why does it matter who's better now...considering by the time we can compete, Miller won't be able to move.

GMcapable wrote:Come on Skater Okafor plays like he is iin his early 100's he is slow, injury prone and not that great anyways. Brad is better period!

Okafor does not equal run and gun. And yes your right about $$$ and FA but Minny can give Jefferson way more $$ than us even if we dump Brad so what do you think he would do take more $$ and stay in a rebuildiing mode or come here for less...still a rebuilding mode team.

Okafor is exactly the kind of PF we need.

And, as long as you throw max deals at players, there is a great chance they come your way. As long as we select few players we are willing to give max contracts to, and we don't use that cap space on any scrubs (Ostertag, Moore, Sampson, Woods, ect), we will be alright

Put that down as a X2 for Petrie - and I guarantee that if he wants to get a deal done with Geoff then he will act as though it is a no go until it happens.

We should re-sign Ostertag to be the starting C of our team...

Again!

IMO this deal is unlikely at this point. Cant see Orlando committing themselves to that type of salary. IMO I think we can find a deal better this summer or by next years trading deadline.

It hasn't been denied yet. Orlando is looking at the options

Kurt Thomas, or paying huge luxury tax next season.

Miller would help them much more though.

there is also another trade that Orlando looked into with Utah, but it involved two entirely different players.

From Eze

Alright...should be the last update for a while unless something happens...but...far as I know, deals from Sacramento are still on the table and will be until tomorrow morning. Brad Miller will play tonight unless the Magic confirm they are close to accepting one of the deals in the scenario.

Magic are talking with Seattle a lot, and are also talking with Miami but not nearly as much.

As from what I said earlier, from what I know, I would expect Kurt Thomas or Brad Miller to be a member of the Magic by Thursday evening...things change...things happen, but if I was betting man, I'd place my bets on those two guys, in that order....Kurt...then Brad. With that said, by no means is the Miller deal dead right now. It's just currently in discussions and the Magic are looking at other deals in case they feel that move is too costly.
