Hey guys, I'm a huge Mississippi State fan (where Lawrence Roberts went to school) so if you guys have any questions about him, ask.

Depending on how deep the Kings are at PF, he has an outside shot at making the team. He started about 21 games for the Grizzlies year before last and actually played really well until he tore some miniscus in his knee. If he is fully healed from that he should preform pretty well in the summer league. If he does somehow make the team, the Kings just got a new fan!

What's his game like? I actually remember his name because I remember him playing well for a while with Memphis. He was one of those players I was wondering about what happened to him actually.

To put it simply, he's a rebounding specialist. He was one of the top players in the league in rebounds per minute when he played for Memphis. He's also a solid defender. He also has a great work ethic and will work his butt off on every single play.

Weakness wise, he isn't super athletic so at 6'9 he struggles to make offense from the 4 spot. He tends to get his shot blocked alot when he tries to go inside. He's a classic tweener, to big to play 3, to small to play 4.

If he made the team, his role would be to come in for some defense and rebounding for maybe 10-15 minutes a game or so.

As for what happened to him, he tore some miniscus in his knee just as he was really starting to play well for Memphis. He came back and started over 20 games for them but he was never really the same player he was before he got hurt. If he is fully recovered, I think he could be a productive player.

And as a side note, his career high in rebounds actually came against the Kings. He pulled dowm 17 boards against them a couple of years ago.

I take it rebounding is a weakness of the Kings? Roberts will fit right in then. Watching him rebound is a thing of beauty because he rarely gets outworked for one. He thinks every board is his.

That's really nice about Lawrence Roberts.. I wanted us to get him last summer, like him a lot as a mobile interior big. Don't think he'll make the team, ultimately, though. Some things would have to change for that possibility to be respectable, because Roberts is a decent player. I kind of expect him to land somewhere in the league eventually.

Oh yeah, big-time weakness. At times it's just scary.

Even if Roberts doesn't make the team it'll be nice just to see him play again because he was my favorite player ever to play for Mississippi State so just to see him in an NBA uniform again even if just for a week would be cool.

He seems like a good fit, but with Brad and Hawes at C, Shelden and Thompson as the young PFs, and the 3 vets, I don't think there is a place for him on the roster.

They usually put them into their video section, so, yes they should all be available well after they are over.

Full list of cuts:
Roster reductions - The Kings narrowed the summer league roster from 18 to 14, cutting Zabian Dowdell, David Johnson, Lawrence Roberts and Darnell Jones.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Hey, don't you guys remember that one website last year where we were able to watch these summer games live? Is it still up or will we have to wait after every game for it to broadcast on nbatv?

NBA.com streams the games. Just go here: http://www.nba.com/summerleague2008/scoreboard.jsp and click watch when the game begins. The NBA TV feeds (none today, I believe) will be available approximately 30 minutes after tip-off.

Jason looks to be having a little trouble finding his place on the floor. Hawes once again looks like a stud, and Douby is scoring like a machine. Of course he's hogging the ball a little too and being sloppy with it.

Is it my connection or the stream really sucks?

It's probably your connection.
I'm watching it fine.
