Perhaps Greene can overcome that. Right now he is not a good scorer. He is just a chucjker who is able to get a shot off whenever he feels like it.

Poor mans? Better stats? Greene put up strikingly similar numbers to Thomas in college.

I have heard the Tim Thomas comparison before, I can see that a little bit, but Thomas was always a little bulky for the SF spot. Greene is more suited physically to play the 3, but both are indeed somewhat similar in the way they play.

Does Greene have the handle that Thomas had? Tim Thomas was great when he wanted to, that'd be good enough from Greene, he also may turn out a James Jones, we'll wait (a lot) and see.

Yeah, I heard the Tim Thomas comparison as well. But Thomas was more hyped from college. Supposedly, he drew comparisons to be that NEXT superstar. But you know what happened. He had it all. Range, size, ball handling...Everything. Too bad. He had all the talent in the world. But yeah, I'm not sure that Greene had Thomas' ball handling.

That's not how we do on the Kings board. We project things and them make them ABSOLUTE predictions and live and die by them. Hoopshype, ESPN, DraftXpress, etc are never wrong on a player!

Yeah TT is widely seen as a large waste of talent. Hopefully Donte can get his head on straight so that he can realize his potential.

I wouldn't really sweat things too much at this point. Quite honestly it is apparent to me that one of the reasons that Reggie was hired is that he HAS proven that he does well with young developing players (see - New Mexico) who need a little work on their game. We were pretty obviously heading towatrd a rebuild, and he is just the right type of coach to handle developing young players - real cred because of his career, recent time tin the college ranks so he knows how to relate to young guys, and a fresh new perspective on the team AND the NBA.

I'm actually really looking forward to him having an opportunity to put his stamp on some you fellows who are ready to be molded and welded into a TEAM.

I was over at the Rockets board and figured out who Donte reminds me of after seeing someone post it, Eddie Griffin. From a skills standpoint of course. I was trying to figure it out after all this time and it finally connected. A more perimeter oriented version of Eddie Griffin.

As long as he watches his porn in his house and not in his SUV, it's all good!

Not to me. He is more fluid athletically than Griffin, but nowhere near the shotblocker. Griffin was very perimeter oriented himself and had a flat shot. Donte has a beautiful stroke. Considering they are both big guys with a love for the 3 ball then yeah, but Donte's ceiling is more R. Lewis and I think his floor is along the lines of James Jones.

In saying perimeter oriented I was assuming these things to be the case. A less big man-ish version of Eddie Griffin. Donte in college really reminded me of Griffin in his high school days. When Greene plays around the basket, or in traffic without the ball they are quite similar as well.

Has no one brought up Tim Thomas? Maybe more motivated, a little more defensive oriented. Just as talented.

You are all being warned for post padding

wait...does this warning also qualify as post padding?
