Yeah not worried about what the teams that are killing us anyway are doing. The fact is DMC won’t get back on the court until late December/January and will take at the very least until right before the POs to be anyway near a good player for them. If he comes good, and that’s a big if, it won’t be until 19/20 season.
The reason he has chose the Warriors is because it gives him longer in regards to the comeback, and you watch, all it takes is 1 game in the finals for him to get fed the ball and boom big contract, which obviously won’t be with the Warriors.

If they somehow dont win a title and there are chemistry issues Cuz, Klay and KD could all opt to go elsewhere as their contracts aren't guaranteed past this season.

Cousins can stay on the floor when hes healthy thats not a question. He isn't immobile like you are making him out to be. Post Achilles who knows.

That said I dont give a **** right now. Im happy as hell. I've rooted against the Warriors and Durant for many years but you know what, anything is better than the Lakers.

**** THE LAKERS **** THE LAKERS!!!

i don't really agree. Not in the playoffs at least. If Hassan Whiteside, Jusaf Nurkic and even Gobert at times are getting exposed defensively in the small-ball postseason so will boogie.

If you're the Warriors would you rather play your Hampton 5 lineup where Draymond is your center and you can switch everything or Boogie who won't really even get back on defense?

Obviously its a great pickup but im just not sure it's making them a whole lot better than they already are.

I hope Vlade has one of the RFA lined up ready to sign an offer sheet on day 1.

JJ is not that dude.

was wondering why smart, lavine and parker haven't done anything yet. Makes a ton of sense, but who is the guy? I'm good taking a risk on parker but not sure the team goes that route

Health Boogie is an elite offensive player. He also isn't a bad defender. Nurkic and whiteside arent even on the same level as him

Here is the rule

A restricted free agent may sign an offer sheet with a new team, although the 48-hour matching period does not begin until the conclusion of the Moratorium.

So tipping your hand now allows the matching team a chance to make roster adjustments to prepare for the offer.

Its probably Lavine. Reports have come out the Kings are not pursuing Parker. Vlade seems fixated on athletic players which leads me to believe he wont consider my guy Anderson.

Play Bogi at SF.

Lavine makes no sense for you guys, only way it happens is if Vlade also has no sense.

Wish you guys would've gone for an athletic 2 way SF. Glen Robinson III would've been a perfect fit and was snagged at only 4m per. Even Nwaba, who is still on the market, can play the 3 and is athletic and tenacious defensively (don't do it though, I want to keep him for cheap).

I was about to say 'don't worry, next draft is full of great wings', then I remembered. Sorry about that one. But still, plenty of options to effectively fill that SF spot.

Seeing Randle sign for $9M makes me VERY disappointed at how we've chosen to use our cap space in a year where there's no draft reward for a bad season. The disgust that many felt about the draft is what I'm feeling right now with free agency. It sure looks like the front office is being completely irresponsible in their task to rebuild the team. The market conditions have never been more in our favor and we do nothing. Tons of teams will have cap space next year, plus the cap is going up, and we'll be getting late firsts for taking on bad contracts while other teams are signing young difference-makers to cap-friendly deals.

But you act like Randle would have taken 10+M from us? Randle took a 1yr deal to a playoff team to bet on himself to try FA next season.

it wouldn't have been a long term answer at the position but 1-year/15 mil for Ariza would have solved our wing problem instantly. It's not like the Suns are in a much better place to contend than we are. Unless the Kings plan this year is to just spend nothing and then hope next summer free agents (klay thompson) miraculously want to start playing in Sacramento and not signing for less money to play for title contenders.

Marcus Smart makes too much sense for this team.

#1: Elite wing defender ... which we don't have
#2: Always-on motor ... which it appears we're going after these days
#3: Secondary ball handler/play maker ... we only have 2 of those guys right now (BB, Fox)

His only downside is that his shot is awful, but given the above I can live with that.

I'd give Smart $12-15m/year to be our Tony Allen type guy and start him alongside Fox and Bogdan. Have him take whoever the best wing player on the other team is (1-3) and keep him on the floor when you sub out Fox/Bogdan so he can play the primary ballhandler with Hield.

It took me a while to warm up to this idea, but now I think it’s vital. I didn’t want to sign another guard because I felt like we didn’t have size. Now I think it’s fine because Smart can guard guys who are bigger than him. His shooting is iffy, but it looks like everyone is improving their shooting around the team. If everyone else can shoot, then I don’t think Smart’s ineffective shot will hurt us.

Honestly I think he can guard most small forwards in the league. And his shot isn't great but he is a threat to make a wide open corner 3. At this point I wouldn't mind giving him a decent 1 or 2 year deal. More so than Lavine thats forsure.

Wilsond Chandler and a 2nd to the Sixers. Would've been a decent solution for next year, let's see how the cap is finally used.

Smart brings a level of perimeter defense we currently dont have. I wont be mad at it if he is the guy.
