Would a straight swap of Hernangomez in NY for Skal benefit both teams and both players?

I don’t like it. Willy would be a welcome addition when it comes to rebounding. I just don’t see that high of a ceiling for him, especially for the Kings. He is a back to the basket player who is respectable on defense, but is not projected to be great in that area. Skal isn’t as good as him at the moment, but he has a lot more potential than Willy. Hernangomez is the safer player, but Skal has the potential to be much better.

We can't make a deal with NY because of Perry, even if we could make a deal with the Knicks I would say to this big nooooo.

Update :

Told Kings are holding out for a 1st round pick in any George Hill deal as of now .
A Clevland deal may happen very soon now today or tomorrow most likely .
A lot of talk today already in regards to Koufas most notably Bucks , Jazz & Blazers . Kings may pry a late 1st to future 2nd in a deal for him.
Some interest brewing for papagiannis today do not know the suitors for him however I head at one point recently the Spurs had some interest in him .
Celtics , OKC , Wizards & 76ers did inquire about Temple but I do not know as of now what pieces were talked about .
Denver still hot for Hill but are looking into other players as well .
Some teams also inquiring about Z BO however not a ton of traction as of yet . I Know again Portland , Bucks & Pacers have called recently .

It will be a very interested next 3 days .

I predict we will acquire at least 1 future 1st round pick possibly two . As well as possibly a future 2nd in deals .
I also predict we will lower our team pay roll by at least 14 million from were it is now for next season.

One name dropped today by Woj that I haven't seen mentioned on this board is Moe Harkless.... Apparently the Kings are interested...not sure if its salary or a talent based interest.

If the Blazers end up making a move for Deandre Jordan, I could see them having interest in either Koufos or Temple. If that’s the case, I could see a straight up swap for either of them.

I'm a fan of Harkless and I think his game would fit nice with our roster. If we can move Koufos or Temple for him then sign me up.

I'm a fan of Harkless and I think his game would fit nice with our roster. If we can move Koufos or Temple for him then sign me up.

I really think it could be Temple if the Clips-Blazers do something like Nurkic+Turner+1st for Jordan. The Blazers will have a void at the wing and Temple would fit in nicely.

With Zeller to the Bucks I think it's pretty safe to cross Milwaukee off the list for possible Koufos suitors.

Honestly, do you see any team trading for him without sending a longer tenured contact? I don’t think Koufos is moved unless it’s to Portland for Harkless, which would require Deandre Jordan being traded there. I doubt the Kings will make a move this season.

Awesome...to you and JohnWillow... Personally, I'm not too familiar with him outside of some YouTube videos. Just seems like both guys could really benefit from more opportunity. I like Skal, but I don't know how patient the front office will be if he's not getting the court time he needs.

I don't like Harkless's contract, 3 years 10 millions without any options. With his extremely unstable shooting I'd say no trading away expiring contracts (Temple, KK) to get him. I'd most likely wait for offseason and look at situation with Oubre and Wizards.

I was told if we took on Harkless which likely we would get a future 1st in a deal however I am leaning towards a deal not happening though it could.

Also I am 95% sure De Andre Jordan will not get traded and will remain with the clippers though I suspect Lou Williams will get traded.

I was also told late last night we are very close to trading Koufas & we have a good chance still of trading Hill .
Was told do not be shocked if Temple gets traded as well .

I think even with Harkless in a deal, if we're taking back a bad contract like Turner or Leonard then I would definitely want a first coming back too. Even Harkless is getting paid 10 million.

I still think Cleveland could be in play for him. They really need a big man and if we could do like Shump + Cle 1st for him I'd think we pull the trigger. Shump's contract is like 2-3 million more for next year than Koufos would be assuming they both opt in so it's not too terrible.

I kind of agree that we probably won't make a move though since all reports seem to be saying teams are reluctant to give up picks plus we're not going to be eating any bad deals for no compensation so it would honestly be the smart move to stand pat if no deals are worth it.

Oh gosh yes. I see Harkless as a neutral asset. If we take on Turner/Leonard, we absolutely need something positive coming back. I don’t think the Portland first is worth the Turner or Leonard contracts though.

I would be interested in Harkless in a deal for Kosta or Temple, no picks attached. The problem would be that Portland would have to clear about $1 mil more to get under tax. So, Portland would have to dump Pat Connaughton or Noah Vonleh on us, meaning we have to cut Vince.

The reason is that their is no real gain taking on Harkless adding salary without getting a 1st . I don't think we will trade with Portland no anyways .

Things have gotten a bit quite other than the fact the Cavs keep calling . Could mean nothing it could more mean that things are getting more serious .
