Didn't even think about Norris Cole. He did well last year when I watched him play and they were hit with injuries. I'd be okay with pretty much any of the guys you mentioned though I prefer to stay away from Lance and Larkin.

I would be fine with Cole because I think he's a good player but I think we would be better off going with a guy that has a little more size. Collison and Cole would be a really small PG duo.

On another note. Sure would've rather had Dion Waiters at 2 years $6 million than Temple at $3 years $24 million. Wonder if there really was any true Waiters interest from Kings to start free agency.

I disagree

We needed good veteran perimeter defense. Waiters has a bad habit of getting into a "never met a shot he didn't like" mode.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Kings wait things out and see what goes down with Darren first. If he's not suspended I think they go in as is because Temple was signed to play the 1-3 I think.

Domestic violence or not, PG position was still a big hole that needed to be addressed and we yet to address it. Collison + ??? is simply not good enough. Giving Temple/Isaiah Cousins full time minutes at PG during Collison's suspension is shooting yourself on the foot.

I've brought this up before but I would think Affalo was brought in with the idea that his role will go back to something like it was in Orlando where he and Oladipo were both kind of combo G's out there together and handled the ball quite a bit. If Afflalo can return to his Orlando form his signing will look pretty sweet for Vlade.

I'm still figuring out not keeping Curry for what he received. I know the coaching staff/FO are going in a defensive direction.. Maybe that's it, nothing but grit and grind. It's going to be interesting how the roster ends up.

Signing him for cheap as a Free Agent =/= trading for him.

So (most likely) Ty Lawson will be the starting PG opening night at the Golden One Center, just as George Karl had hoped.

I've got to think Vlade has to laugh at the irony there.

I am at least.

Not a bad move really, ignoring his off court issues. Low risk high reward. To my knowledge there weren't any better options at PG left for us.

So now our depth chart looks something like:

Collison/Lawson/(Cousins)
Afflalo/Temple/McLemore/Richardson/Patterson
Gay/Casspi/Barnes
Cauley-Stein/Tolliver/Labissiere
Cousins/Koufos/Papagiannis

That's 17 players...

Isaiah cousins has not been signed and Patterson is not guaranteed so we have 15 players with guaranteed contracts.

Patterson is a better basketball player than McLemore. I'm rooting for him to make the roster.
