I thought once the Bulls match then we are free and clear to spend the money again?
Bulls said they would match. Cap is on hold until paperwork is filed. Bulls will drag it out.

If the end goal is using cap space to take on a bad contract this cap hold shouldn't affect us too much. The bad contracts aren't going anywhere.

I can honestly see this happening. Obviously we need to make a trade so who do we call about a WCS/Shump or WCS/Temple or WCS/Skal or WCS/Randolph trade?

I would be ok with either Capella or Smart.

Hey guys could you throw 4 years 80 at Marcus Smart next just to screw Boston over? They're taking your pick next year after all. If they don't match he at least actually will contribute to you guys winning some games unlike Lavine.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

This gives the Kings a lot more leverage in trades .

Kings & Hawks are the main teams that have cap now & can take on bad contracts .

Kings could easily put another offer sheet now out to another player . Cough , Cough , Jabari Parker whom they know would get match as an example .

Another route is taking on a 1 yr. bad contract to get a 1st round pick .

Bucks won’t match a 4/80 deal

The Lavine contract is a perfect reason as to why none of us will ever catch a team like the Warriors. They're getting Boogie Cousins for 5 million dollars. And franchises like the both of ours are handing Zach Lavine $20 million a year. Talk about circling the drain

Funny, I know Parkers injuries are a concern but I think he has the potential to live up to a deal like that more than Lavine does.

This is devastating news. I pray for his family and friends. RIP Tyler Honeycutt.

The reason why they won’t go after Capela is because Vlade probably refuses to admit WCS is probably a bust

If it was just about Bagley/Giles/Skal as the future, I think adding another young piece isn’t too much for most.

It is if your still including WCS in your equation

If ya’ll are into taking a bad contract, can you take Ryan Anderson, native of Sacramento, to get some first rounders?

He’s fallen out of favor in this rotation, and ties up our cap space something fierce.

Yup i'm on board with Smart at 3/36-40.. Lets do it Vlade!

12-13 is about what Boston's already offered (allegedly) and will get matched immediately. It needs to be higher to dissuade then from matching (possibly front loaded to push to them further into the tax and make it harder to get back under it)

That Vlade comment from that article sounds like they are done and will stand pat. I hope they go into the season with space and see what they can get at the deadline when teams basically know what range their picks are going to be in.
