20-5-5 Watch (Last remaining games)

As of right now, Evans is at 20.0 PPG exactly. He needs to average at least 20.2 PPG in the last 5 games to keep his 20+ PPG status. If not, he will jeopardize his chances to being the 4th player in league history averaging 20-5-5 for the season.
...
If you look at Evans PPG average against the last remaining teams:
Spurs: 19.0 PPG (48.9% FG)
Clippers: 21.5 PPG (51.4% FG)
Mavs: 21.0 PPG (52.9% FG)
Rockets: 14.5 PPG (33.3% FG)
Lakers: 21.5 PPG (38.1% FG)
The 4 out of the 5 teams, Evans is scoring nearly 20 PPG. Evans had trouble against the Rockets. But guess what? Battier is out due to injury! Battier hyper-extended his left knee and is out for at least two weeks. I would guess Evans should have a good game against the Rockets sans-Battier.
Evans still has a shot at 20-5-5 but we better pray that he does not have another performance like last night with the Blazers. Multiple single digit scoring games would cripple his chances of accomplishing the feat.
I mean, Evans still have a solid chance accomplishing the 20-5-5 but he needs at least one 25+ point game in these last remaining games to gain some sort of cushion.

Lakers will probably be resting their starters. That's a good opportunity to get some points.
I hope he goes for 30 against the Clips

As do I. Im sure he's well aware of the position he is in... and with nothing really to gain in this season.. im sure in the back of his head he knows he'll try to make the effort to achieve it. He's just gotta stay aggressive n get to the foul line.

I gotta think that if he really cared about it, he would have taken the opportunity to get some garbage points in the last play against Portland.

What is the minimum games played that Evans' stats considered official in the record books? Was it 70 games?

I think the whole organization is aware of this little statistic and because of that, Tyreke will get it. If it means he has to score 50 points against the Lakers in that last game then so be it. I'm not normally one to think that stats really mean anything, but this means a lot in terms of the exposure and the hype that the Kings and Tyreke would get next season. In that regard, this stat happening is a good thing and the team knows it.

Getting Dude Perfect involved was a pretty smart decision, even if it has very little to do with Tyreke. You guys should check out the rest of their videos. Your mind will be blown.

It's nice to see Evans hit the 20 point barrier again tonight. Just keep it Evans! You are almost there!

I think the Mouthguard has really been bothering him, when he took it off he started playing like Reke again. He said he won't play with it anymore, so I think he has a good chance.

Mavs and Rockets play some tough D when they want to, Lakers maybe resting their starters .
Hoepfully Evans gets another 25 next game and sets himself up nicely for the last 2.

I was wondering why they just don't "shut him down" and preserve the 20-5-5 if they're so worried about him losing it but then it clicked. It's all a marketing scheme to drum up ticket sales!!! Pretty brilliant move if you ask me. If this is indicative of the new team they have on the marketing side then bravo! Still quite an accomplishment but I "get it" now.

I think there's also a requirement of 70 games played for it to be in the record books. He's @ 69 I think right now.
