"Rowdy Rookie" Section at Arco

Post#1 » by Nicky Nix Nook » Wed May 12, 2010 8:40 pm

http://www.nba.com/kings/news/rowdy_roo ... lease.html
In honor of the upcoming 2010 NBA Draft Lottery, the Kings created a limited-time “Rowdy Rookies” season pass to draft new Kings fans to join the ride with the team’s new draft picks for the entire 2010-11 season.

The "Rowdy Rookies” season pass offers seat locations in a newly-created branded section near the visiting bench, and is specially-priced between $45-$55 per seat per game depending on what pick the Kings get in the 2010 NBA Draft. If the Kings get the #1 pick, the price is $45, $47 for #2, $49 for #3, $51 for #4, $53 for #5 or $55 for #6.

Sounds interesting. I feel like the only people who can afford that won't be rowdy.

Too lazy to read the article, but that seems like an insanely good deal, relative to the rest of the seats in the arena. Is it part of a special promotion and it's the prize, or something like that?

Oh ya it's great price for single games. But you have to buy season tickets for the section. I don't have 2000 bucks laying around. I'd love to be apart of it, but I don't think it's gonna be possible.

And like I said, the only people who can afford to drop 2000 bucks on Kings tickets aren't usually the rowdy type...just sayin...

I believe those are the same price as seats in the upper level. Plenty of people have season tickets on the lower level and plenty of them are plenty rowdy.

I'm confused why it's cheaper if we get the #1 pick? Wouldn't less people buy tickets if it's more expensive AND we get the worst possible pick? Doesn't make sense...

I like the T-Wolves promotion better

* You could pay as little as $1 a game to see all 43 home games. Watch your wolves take on Lebron, Kobe, Shaq, Superman, KG, and all your other NBA stars.
* Put down a $43 non-refundable deposit.
* Based on the Wolves lottery fortunes, your per-seat per-game price will match the team's draft pick number.
* If the Wolves get the #1 pick, your account is paid in full.

Sure, the seats are terrible, but damn...if they get the #1 pick, then you can see EVERY game for only 43 dollars! O_o

That is great, but if i was a die hard fan of that team, im not so sure i would want to see all of their home games. And isn't it 41 home games?

That is an amazing promotion. Even if you dont want to see all the games you wont be losing much money by not going. You also could sell your tickets.

The reason for 43 games is that it includes two preseason games.

Such a good price for tickets and really good seats. I wish I had some money sitting around. I would then be really interested in going on this with someone. It would be awesome to get like a group of 6 together for this.

So what's the deal with this section. Are they rowdy? I haven't heard anything.

I will say that some games have down right disgustingly cheap seats this year. Haven't been able to make it to any games this year because of $$$ issues but damn, I hope they continue on for the rest of the season like this.

Check out Stubhub and Ebay for tickets. I bought 4 tickets to the game against the Wizards for 22 bucks total. They are decent seats too.
