O.T- Sacramento Mountain Lions

Post#1 » by Dustin5566 » Tue May 18, 2010 11:40 pm

Daunte Culpepper could be on the verge of being reunited with Dennis Green, with Sacramento as the backdrop.

A veteran NFL quarterback, Culpepper is reportedly close to signing with the United Football League's Sacramento Mountain Lions, where Green works as coach and general manager.

Culpepper's first full season as a professional starter was in 2000 while with the Minnesota Vikings under Green, when Culpepper led the NFL with 33 touchdown passes.

Culpepper has 12 NFL seasons of experience, including six starts with the Raiders in 2007 when he passed for 1,331 yards and five touchdowns. He played last season with the Detroit Lions, starting five games and tossing three touchdowns with six interceptions before giving way to first overall pick Matt Stafford.

The Mountain Lions will play their home games at Sacramento State.

Any Sacramento resident planning on going to any games? I think I might give it a shot, especially if we have an actual "big" name player like Culpepper. Could be interesting..

If Culpepper is signed, I could see myself going to a few games, if it's not too bad for tickets + parking.
