i was just thinking about if a lineup like this could exist..... (if we draft wes johnson)
Evans/ Udrih
Johsnon/Garcia
Casspi?Greene(either or) / noc
not really focusing on the bigs but jus the 1 2 and 3, could this work... considerring there isnt a true backup PG if udrih starts

The problem with your idea is that it asks the wrong question because the bigs are the bigger issue versus everything you've got here.
Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed.

I don't really like it. Tyreke seemed to play his best next to beno. If that makes him the shooting guard then so be it. But from what I've seen tyreke simply preforms better with another ball handler in the lineup. The offense also flows better with a second ball handler.
The way I see it: if we draft Johnson we need to move casspi and or Greene as part of a big man consolidation trade.
If we draft Johnson the pieces I'd look to move for a consolidated up grade at the big position would be. Greene, casspi, landry.
As far as I'm concerned we need to stick with our pg + Evans lineup and keep one of hawes or Thompson in the starting lineup as well they are both fantastic passers.

I don't know if Tyreke was better with another ball handler more than Beno was just simply playing great ball. Beno's shot really improved and he is getting way more comfortable playing off the ball.
Once again, Johnsons ball handling is pretty underrated and after seeing some of his combine interviews he's ready to show teams exactly what he can do. He's apparently quite familiar with the PG position himself.

Johnson's ball handling skills should be similar to a guy like Garcia's IMO. Which is more than adequate enough to play the 2 guard.

^^johnson doesn't have anywhere near garcias ball handling skills. He's much more similar to Rudy gay in that aspect of his game. He's a shooter slasher and finisher not a creator and not a guy you want dribbling the ball much.

You really ought to get past this myopic vision that you can only address the frontcourt via the draft.
Once you do that, your mind might actually be liberated in free thinking that could help benefit the team's overall talent pool.
The frontcourt can be addressed via the:
1) Draft(yes I know you know that)
2) Free Agency(not likely, but possible)
3) Trade - Whether that's using pieces we have or taking on salary with our cap space(a form of FA)
4) Actual development and improvement from our young frontcourt players that doesn't have a single one over the age of 26.
Now, quit shutting your brain down on ideas because you've convinced yourself that #1 is the ONLY option available. In fact, #4 might actually be the option that most prudent and available to Geoff Petrie as GM, as 1,2,3 may be too expensive or the cost may not justify the price.
Based on reading your posts that past couple months or so, you appear to be one of the most close-minded people on this board.

Really?
I think his handles are fine for his height. I don't think he is a mediocre ball handler. It's passable at least.

He's alright, but yeah, he's probably not on Garcias level. He might be and we just haven't seen it but Garcia can literally handle the PG position adequately at the NBA level.
