What will the Kings look like 2 weeks from now....
......not what you want to happen.......but if you were in Vegas and making bets, what will the Kings do in 2 weeks.
I say.....
Wizards- Wall
76ers- Turner
NJ- trade out of pick, other team still picks Favors.
Minn- trade out of pick, other team picks Cousins
Sac- Wes Johnson
We get Johnson with the 5, we sit tight and take Jordan with the 33. Noc gets traded with 2011 second round pick to Charlotte for Chandler (expiring).
New kings:
Hawes/Chandler/Jordan
Landry/Thompson/Brockman
Greene/Casspi/McGuire?
Johnson/Garcia/Udoka?
Evans/Udrih
Chandler gets traded at the deadline.
Kings head into next summer with major cap space and clear view on what to do in the future with Hawes, Thompson, Landry, Greene, and Casspi. BIG move next summer!!!!

I have to believe that they way beno played with tyreke we will see the two of them staring in the back court next year. I like wesley johnson but hat would mean we have way to many wings even after we get rid of noc. Unless somehow we get cousins or favors i hope we pick johnson and then trade either donte, cisco, or casspi for a big.

I think if 1-4 goes Wall, Turner, Favors, Cousins.....I think that Sacramento tries to trade down rather than drafting Johnson.

am i the only one here who was highly impressed by the Whiteside workout and sees him as a perfect high -low pairing with tyreke? obviously he needs to bulk up, but he's so mobile and athletic, plus the shot blocking tendency. Honestly Johnson i'm fine with, but Demarcus Cousins scares the crap out of me. I feel like he'll add some interior defense and easy offense, but he won't be and shouldn't be the focal point on our team, and i see him clogging the lane for reke. If by some act of god we could find a trade that landed us Johnson and Whiteside i would be one happy camper. With a future lineup of this:
PG Reke/Beno/Garcia
SG Johnson/Reke/Garcia
SF Greene/Johnson/Casspi (not sure as far as the PG SG SF situation, but most likely casspi is gone in the whiteside tradealong with the second rounder and maybe another pick of some sort, maybe a futre second and cash.
PF Landry/Thompson (interchangable since they are polar opposites)
C Whiteside/Hawes
The ting i like about this roster is that there are really no major holes. each player has another player of the same position who does what he cant do. Like i said though, it all depends on whether

I have enough faith in Casspi as the Kings SF of the future that I don't feel the need to target Johnson.
Whiteside is someone that I could see Sacramento being significantly interested, however, Sacramento would likely have to try to trade down to have it make sense to draft him.

Only way we draft whiteside is trade down. I honestly still believe the kings come out of this draft with whiteside or aldrich, and I have been arguing for aldrich for a while (not at 5, but trading down). When I watched the lottery and saw that we got the 5th pick, first thought was that it will be traded.

Greene has more "potential" but I'd put my money is on Casspi being a more consistent NBA contributer.
I think we draft Cousins and Stanley Robinson. If Johnson is there at 5 Petrie better take him. We need somebody like Aldrich or Whiteside but passing on the talent and skill that Johnson possesses will look really stupid down the line.

Re: What will the Kings look like 2 weeks from now....
I think this could be one of our more interesting drafts in recent history. I could easily see us trading down and getting someone like Whiteside.
At this point I think we take Manroe with the #5 pick and then take Armon Johnson with the 33rd pick.

I SEE THE KINGS DRAFTING
# 4 COUSINS
#33 EITHER W.WARREN OR J. CRAWFORD

I think Casspi is better... But I love Donte!! I think Most kings fans want Donte to Be the future Starting SF.. Because He is a Potential Mismatch for other teams at 6'11", also because he is Very Athletic, every one wants to see at least one player on their Team "throw It Down".. And right now.. thats Donte, plus Donte "Buckets" Greene is a Crowd pleaser.. and he brings energy to the team/crowd when he's on the floor. And thats what fans love too see. But Casspi on the other hand is also a great player and is performing well his rookie year .. waayyy better then donte did his rookie year.. plus, I think if Casspi becomes are starting Sf in the Future, He'll bring even more National publicity to SacTwon/The Kings.. but All-N-All I'd like to See "Buckets" get better and Become the starting Something

Re: What will the Kings look like 2 weeks from now....
Honestly I think minny passes on cousins and we end up drafting him. Then based on our other work outs I see us drafting Crawford with the 33rd but I'd prefer several other guysover him.
New lineup
udrih/Crawford
Evans/Garcia
casspi/Greene/nocioni
Thompson/landry/brockman
cousins/hawes
I think thats a pretty realistic lineup for us. I also think it's pretty darn good too.
After seeing whiteside in the interview and his portion of the work outs he could be a possibility he looked like a Petrie guy out there to me with his range and the maturity issues are less than I had expected he could be a potential guy for us especially with his work with Hakeem.

Monroe is a guy I want to stay away from in the top 10 he has poor athelticism can't run and can't jump physically he opperates like a late career version of brad miller.
http://www.nba.com/kings/video/2010/06/ ... index.html
that's his work out with the kings it's pretty bad. He's skilled but basically looks like a heavier more grounded version of Thompson not someone we should spend our pick on.
I would take many of these guys over him, they all run the floor well and play defense.

Re: What will the Kings look like 2 weeks from now....
I do not think Monroe will be our pick. I am always weary of people who want individual workouts. With the exception of Tyreke who HAD to because other agents would not allow their clients to go against him until the final call back where he dominated everyone.
What I am most interested in is if Favors DOMINATES Cousins on Sat. does it make GP think about moving up to get him. I doubt it, but it's fun to speculate.

Re: What will the Kings look like 2 weeks from now....
Monroe would be a solid choice if he wanted to bang in the post but he just isn't that type of player. It like with hawes ever wanted to work and be physical in the post he could be fantastic but that's just not the type of player he is.
If favors kills cousins in that work out I would hope we would try to move up to get him. But Petrie hasn't shown to be a very active GM on draft day so I wouldn't get my hopes too high.
