Mike Bibby

Mike Bibby for a 2nd round pick

seems like Kings and Bibby parted on good terms. Hawks could really use the cap space. Kings with their young core could use Bibby as a vet backup PG, and in certain situation, Evans and his play making ability could really use Bibby's 3pt shooting. in addition, Bibby could retire and end his career as a Sacramento King.

BTW: i'm not a Kings fan, but like alot of other, i did follow Evans last year. was wondering your thoughts on a Evans/Randy Foye experiment? Randy is a cheap combo guard with 3pt shooting, he could compliment Evan's game pretty well and Foye is quick enough to guard NBA PGs.

Bibby...been there, done that, don't need to go there again.

Kings have a good (more than adequate) PG in Beno and have vets on the roster (Landry, Beno, Garcia, plus Sharif Abdur Rahim and Bobby Jackson on staff). Also, the Kings are going in a much different direction than when Bibby was here...more emphasis on toughness. Bibby's turnstile defense does not fit. This is Evans' team now and Petrie has been doing a good job of stripping away what remained of the "old Kings". No need to take a step back to that "old Kings" era with Bibby.

Our backup PG needs to be quick, a good defender, and able to push the ball up the court in a hurry (a la Bobby Jackson). Mike Bibby does not fit any of these fields, and he's not an expiring (which is the only way I could see him returning to retire a King). Pass.

Just give us like $15 and well give you Bibby. Deal?
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

If Bibby's contract was for 15 dollars a game, I'd welcome him on the Kings. However....

Would have loved to get Avery Bradley in the draft by moving up but we got Cousins at fuve, and then Hassan falling to us in the 2nd so us moving in the mid to late teens would have been nice but we all ready hadto miracles.

Let's just go after Raymond Felton in the free agency and then add another shooting, and trade Samuel and his big contract to get another shooter.

As for Bibby like all ready stated been there done that, he's in the past and isn't a great fit now. Expiring I'd consider trading to get him though.

Guys, Dale isn't going to be traded before the season starts. I don't care who we just drafted, they haven't played ONE minute in the NBA yet. We wouldn't have thrown Hawes in a trade just to clear Noci off the books. We obviously like what Sammy can bring to this team, and have wanted him for a while.

I was talking about at the deadline. Yes, Hawes wasn't going anywhere, and to get rid of both of theem helped us big time.

I still don't think the Kings would have traded away Hawes unless;

A) They knew that Cousins was going to fall to them in the draft
B) Getting rid of Noci + receiving Dale was worth it.

Yes, Dale is a big expiring contract, but let's see what he can do first.

I agree that Hawes wouldn't have been traded if it weren't to dump Andres, but it was clear Hawes wasn't going to work out so it was good to get rid of him. Plus now look at our new bigs rotation.

DeMarcus Cousins / Daly / Hassan Whiteside
Carl Landry / Jason Thompson / Jon Brockman

No matter what Hawes likely wouldn't get much time so there was no reason for him to be here.

No, I get that. Hawes was out the door as soon as Sammy was brought up in the trade conversation, but the original point is, some people think we just traded for him because of his big expiring contract, which is not true at all.

So, you want us to stick with Daly all year? Or you just think we will but you might want to ship him around?

For me I wouldn't mind sticking with Daly the whole year if we can't land a good deal for him, but if a deal comes around that seems good enough then I'm all for it.

If a deal comes around that's good enough for any of our players, I'll take it. But that doesn't mean I'm looking to ship him out ASAP.

Mike would be a solid vet locker room leader type to target with Sacto roots. Just as long as he doesn't expect heavy minutes.

Even though i was about to lecture you on your negative spin and signature about the Hawks; I looked at your avatar. It's hilarious.
