The Kings announced the resignation of Assistant GM Jason Levien on Thursday.

Levien is a former player agent.

Someones mad Petrie got a contract extension.

Most likely he's about to be hired to fill one of the GM vacancies in the league. Phoenix is one were I've seen speculation of his name on the short list.

Probably has something to do with it. All signs pointed to Petrie leaving when Levien was hired, but then Petrie gets a 3-year extension. He's probably pissed as hell. Ziller has a good article on SacTown Royalty about it, although I'm not sure if I agree with the very last part.
