Congrats Miami, the most hated team in the NBA

Post#1 » by king125 » Fri Jul 9, 2010 3:55 am

Sorry to say it, but I think I hate the Heat more then I hate the Lakers.

Horrible move for the NBA. I hated Boston for doing it, even though they did it through trades and such. But this makes me sick. Lebron is a wuss. Couldn't handle the playoffs on his own and couldn't produce a championship. Guess he decides his legacy will be better off to go to Miami to be Wades #2. In the meantime he abandons his hometown and all the people in Cleveland. Not to mention this whole week of gloating and running an ESPN special to just rip the hearts out of all the Cleveland fans. Weak.

I would rather stay at home and fight for a championship, then run off and win a few with my superstar buddies. is a ring that important? Adam Morrison got one this year. haha

Yeah...its a joke. But...Reke and Cousins in 3 years could be a force to challenge them. Also the Thunder. Its not the end of the world.

And +1 for ESPN and Lebron running that special. Bron has no class.

I'm more upset about how LeBron handled himself, and how he treated Cleveland. Disgusting.

Yeah - LBJ's a douche. I feel for the Cav's fan - small market, like the Kings losing their "hometown hero" on a national televised! No Class!

Why would miami be the most hated team in the nba now? ... Just because they were able to keep wade and lure 2 great players to join the team? I mean come on - if this were the kings we would be jumping up and down right now having keggers until the season started lol

I have been a life long kings fan, through thick and thin and I do not think there is anything that could happen to make me hate any team more then I do the lakers. I think the only team that comes close are the Utah Jazz, and that's because I am still bitter about Malone/Stockton beating us in the play offs :-(

As for everyone turning Lebron into a villain I think it is just plain stupid ... I can understand the Cleveland fans being disappointed - I mean if something like this happened to the kings I would probably need to be put on suicide watch for a few months lol... But honestly can you blame the guy? Its not like he spent 7 years of non-productive play. He gave Cleveland 7 of his best years, he gave them everything he had and came up short. I mean honestly do you want him to go through his whole career and never get a championship? Sure you can say that he should have would have could have, but in the end I think he came to the realization that he could spend another 7 years just to come up empty like he did in the past 7 years.

Do you want him to be the next :

Elgin Baylor
Charles Barkley
John Stockton
Karl Malone
Patrick Ewing
Pete Maravich
Reggie Miller
Dominique Wilkins

I could go on but I will stop there, those are all great players who never won a champion ship and were probably more deserving of one then anyone in the history of the nba. Most of the guys I listed are guys who spent their whole career with the same team, and tried to do what people expected Lebron to do with the Cavs... I think that Lebron made the right choice - he is learning from history and trying to not let it repeat itself. I bet anyone on that list, given the chance to go back and change it - would have demanded a trade or signed with another team to at least try and get themselves a championship.

Yeah, pretty foul the way the whole thing played out. Feel really, really bad for Cavs fans. Might have been a bit different if he just announced he was going to Miami but to basically keep all the fans hanging and then dumping on them like that, foul.

Jordan never slinked over to Bird or Magics side to win big, the "legacy" has a bit of caca smell to it now.

Imagine how bad you would feel if Tyreke almost took us to the top and then dumped us. Now imagine if Tyreke was also from Roseville. Ouch

Dan is awsome. I have to say that Miami is going to regret this though. I know 3 is a magic number, like 3 chicks in a hotub or 3 beers instead of 1 but this is just wrong. To have three individuals on one team is not the right way to go about it. I hated it when Boston did it and I hate it now. Doesnt Maimi even know the rule? You only get to ask the the magic genie for three wishes and if you use all three up on material items then you cant wish for true happiness.

LeBron shoulda picked Chicago.

I still the Chris Bosh is over rated. Dan Patrick asked Reggie Miller who would he take in a 2 on 2 game Between Artest/Kobe v LBJ/Wade. Reggie responded quickly it wouldn't be close! Artest and Kobe would destroy!

Bosh...nah man he's the athletic version of the cowardly lion. Miami will have to fill its roster with old vets from here on out. I see the trio. Unless Pat's coming back to coach it I'll be a believer after they win something. I see this different than when Boston came together. Wade and James have almost the same role before this year. I still and not a Chris Bosh fan.

I'm no longer a LeBron fan.

Let's be honest you guys, all this does, is forces every team to be "perfect" in order to contend....at least the honest teams.

We NEED Tyreke to emerge into superstar status (IMO, currently superstar status represents top 5-8 in the league). We NEED DeMarcus to develop into a 20/10 beast and at least a top 3 center. We NEED one of Casspi/Donte to develop into a solid starter who will be borderline allstar level (Lewis, Hedo, Battier, Prince, etc.) We NEED Whiteside to develop into his defensive potential (ie, at least 2nd NBA defensive team).

IMO, how about we spend the bare minimum to meet the minimum salary level....then split around 15 million between Hakeem (to teach Cousins, Thompson, and Whiteside postmoves and defense), Bird (to teach Donte and Tyreke to shoot), and Malone (Malone entered the league at like 12% body fat, and left at like 3%...teach that to DeMarcus)

I don't care who the Lakers put out there, they aren't going to match the talent of the Heats trio. In fact, the Heat possibly have 2 players on their team better than the best player on the Lakers. With that said, talent doesn't always win out. I, along with many others obviously, don't like the idea of Lebron and Wade on the court. With the Celtics at least you could see immediately how they could play, I don't know about this unit. If I'm playing them I'm packing the paint and letting them try and shoot their way to victory.

Just watched a random replay of Marshal vs. Memphis and all I can say is...damn, Whiteside has the potential to be a damn force in the paint on weakside D. Lebron, Wade, Bosh, say hello to our twin towers! 8-)

I completely agree with this, especially the part I bolded. I remember a few years back when I was BLASTED relentlessly on the GB for saying Bosh was overrated. Fast forward to today, and Bosh has literally accomplished not a damn thing. Being right feels good. I have NO doubt that Cousins will be able to punk Bosh around at will.

You guys can keep hating them all you want, more tickets available when the Heat come to town.

LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Evans, Cousins...it's going to be like the NBA All-Star game in Sacramento. Hell, I might even think about going to Staples to watch LeBron, Wade, Bosh vs Kobe, Gasol and Artest.
