Hey guys,
Can't wait for this next match-up against the Undefeated Toronto Raptors...
I know this is just (VSL), but still, this is gonna be a fun game to watch!!
So far the Raptors are the best team we will play in this years summer league. (IMO)
(Making them the team to beat!!)

They are led by former USC guard: DeMar DeRozan, who is leading the team in Points with 20.7 in just three (VSL) games thus far. (and for the record, his defense is fantastic!!). Another one to keep a close eye on is Former Arkansas Guard, Sonny Weems, the teams second scoring leader with 17.0 pts a game. (let it be known, Weems has been tearing it up like crazy in his recent VSL games!!)

Image

As for the kings: DeMarcus Cousins, the MAN-CHILD out of Kentucky!! (coming off a monstrous game 3, scoring 22pts 12rebs and 5asts!! :o ) currently averaging 18pts, 11rebs...
Then it goes Donte Greene, 13.7pts 2.7rebs followed by Tryese Rice (12.5pts) and Omri Casspi (12.0pts).

Image

Recent games for both (VSL) teams:

--TORONTO RAPTORS (3-0)
(W) Raptors vs. suns: 103, 69 - (W) Raptors vs. Rockets: 100-91 - (W) Raptors vs. Kicks: 102, 89

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--SACRAMENTO KINGS (3-0)
(W) Kings vs. Pistons: 97, 68 - (W) Kings vs. the hated Lakers: 90, 84 -
(W) Kings vs. Timberwolves: 79, 78

HERE'S SOME QUICK WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT:

Demarcus Cousins is quickly becoming perhaps the best player the NBA's Las Vegas summer league.

He is leading the Sacramento Kings in points, rebounds, assists and steals.

With three games under his belt and three to go, Big Cuz is averaging 18 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals a game.

Kings Could Be This Year's Thunder: This summer, Rookie of the Year and Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans...

GOT BOOGIE FEVER?!

Currently, I don't have rosters for any of these two teams (KINGS, RAPS)...
I can probably get them tomorrow since I decided to make this thread ahead of time.
If any one knows the rosters for tomorrows game.. or gets them before I do, feel free to post em' up thx!!

thoughts? :dontknow:

Keep feeding the ball to Cousins. Get him as much reps as possible.

And if Casspi ball hogs again just bench him.

A move we havent seen yet from Boogie.

Look out for the baseline back-to-the-basket turnaround floater, saw it a couple of times in his college days and it is so pretty.

The Raps - like us - actually start five legit young NBA players.

After watching this kid play, how can he not start!? I know it's summer league but seriously, he has his moments of rookie slop but he is easily the 2nd most talented, if not most overall talented (yes, I said it) on the entire team. I'm glad I wasn't wrong when I compared him to Webber when he came out of high school.

Yeah, that team is stacked dude, plain an simple!!
I love Bobby brown, Demar DeRozan speaks for himself...
Sonny Weems, I didn't know much about this guy until summer league and he is doing really good.
Rookie Ed Davis.. he's impressed me thus far, he's a good player.
And Joey Dorsey has been playing well!! we all know he's ripped and can rebound like crazy!!
His offense has lacked in past years.. but in these summer league games he doing pretty good.

I thought he coined the nickname "Boogie", as in "Boogie Monster"??? I may be wrong but thats what I had gathered from the fanfare during his time at Kentucky...

He is always doing his little dance so maybe thats simply the logic behind it...BOOGIE DOWN BIG CUZ! BOOGIE DOWN!
can we just get a new arena already...

Hey guys, Raptors fan here. I cant wait for this summer league matchup and have been following Sacramento during the SL they are a fun team to watch and Cousins is a beast. Should be an entertaining game. YC42Balla, thanks for the props to some of the young raps players (headline by Demar and Sonny).

I also wanted to mention that since you guys drafted Tyreke and Casspi to pair with Thompson I thought you were a fun young team to watch with nice potential. WIth the addition of Cousins the Kings are just that much better and are on the right path towards success, led by a tough respected basketball coach in Paul Westphal.

We're looking terrible. We're asleep, and the Raptors aare looking good. Cousins needs to pick it up. We can't rebound for anything right now.

We look horrible.

Not hitting shots, turnovers and DMC not hitting anything.

Return to Sacramento Kings
