Minny to deal a pg.
Alright well Kahn has let it out that he will be trading one of their pg's - I know there are several teams who are in need of a new pg. But what do you think about a possible kings/minny deal? And if you had your pick who would you rather have, sessions or flynn?

I wouldnt mind bringing in Ramon Sessions. Not sure it would take to get him, but I think he could be a solid back up to Tyreke or Beno (Depending on who you want to say is our PG).

Um... why would we want HIM of all people? That ship sailed already. It's not like he's ever gonna play for us anyway. Does anybody remember a guy named Dejan Bodiroga? (international guy who decided NOT to come over despite being drafted by SACRAMENTO way back in 1995)
I'm not sure I want a repeat of that...

Why did that ship sail? Because we didn't draft him over Reke. Sometimes people are so shortsighted. How do you know he won't play for us, all correspondence said he wanted to play for us and we chose not to select him. I mean if we could get him for a good deal, we should. He may not be the ideal point guard next to Reke but I bet it would work.

Oh, my bad. The ship didn't sail, it remained docked and anchored on the other end of the Atlantic...
I wouldn't spend more than our Milwaukee 2nd rounder on him to be honest, as there is no guarantee that we'll actually GET anyone worthwhile either way...

Ramon Sessions is good.
I'd take him...
besides Flynn and Johnson are good friends. I don't think they would trade him. but hey, who knows?

So Kahn finally admits that he has too many PGs.
I don't like Flynn or Sessions, and I think Petrie is content with what we have for now, and so am I.

I'd take flynn or sessions. Flynn is obviously still on his rookie contract so he would be cheap. I would gladly trade garcia and a 2nd or casspi or donte straight up. I would bet they are trading sessions though idk what his contract looks like though.

Re: Minny to deal a pg.
I think Flynn would certainly be an upgrade over Beno and able to start at pg right away. He would definatly need to improve his mid range and 3 point shooting but I think him and Tyreke could work out depending on how both of their mid range jump shooting abilities develop. He had some pretty big games for Minny last year but his health is also a question.
Their more likely to trade Sessions but I would rather have Flynn

I'd take Flynn for sure. He had a pretty good rookie season, he's bound to get better. If nothing else hes a quality backup.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

Re: Minny to deal a pg.
I don't want Rubio... dude will not be good in the NBA... simple as that, there is a reason why we drafted Tyreke over him. Rubio isn't even the best point guard in Spain, OR the best Spanish point guard... I want no piece of him....
Flynn is nice, Sessions... ehh, I wouldn't give up much for either, but Johnny Flynn is my pick, even if we did have to give a future pick...

Re: Minny to deal a pg.
I'd be shocked if Flynn was traded - Kahn would be blasted, again for such a move. Sessions will be the only PG moved in Minny.

Wouldn't mind adding Flynn, but I highly doubt the T-Wolves would actually ship him.
Sessions though I could see them moving..

The Kings would take Sessions and Flynn before they would take Rubio.

Re: Minny to deal a pg.
i think that why would you trade a point guard that works well with our franchise player and can shoot it from distance, for a much younger cheaper point guard that has the same problem as our franchise player....can't shoot......pulling a trade like that would put us back a bunch
opposing teams would zone us to death, and we'd have TOO MUCH trouble with offensive execution outside of the post. in that case, our players could develop bad quemistry in the light of failing miserably to win games... i don't understand the ppl that still want to tweek this team so much. our team is set. we just need to play together and grow together. trading a player that we need for a type of player that we don't need just because of youth or upside when our team is in a great situation to grow and flourish...i don't think is very smart. if we trade for anything, trade for a shooter, anything else we don't need and would destroy what we already have in place.

Re: Minny to deal a pg.
Though none of our recent signings : DAVID SLOAN , DARNELL JACKSON or POOH JETER are stud guards I would say the odds of us trading with MINNY for a guard right now is pretty remote ! The organization seems to want to keep the team salary at the 43-44 million team minumum level for right now wich I feel is brilliant right now more so because though we should be a bit better than last season we are not a major contender quit yet ! So that being said we let our young guys grow & get more experience while having the capability of later in the season of absorbing bigger contracts if we choose to from teams who are trying to get under the luxery tax & make them pay the price by giving us a future 1st round pick to do so or get a young great talent for who will fit ours teams plans / needs as well as the what if factor ?
What if we did that great lets say we did play like OKLAHOMA did last year then all that available money goves us the ability to get great player who has salary to him though I doubt we would do this even if we did play great this year !
I am very pleased with us not going nuts in free agency this year If we do go on a spending spree it should be through trade next year as I dont see hardly anybody that would be that worth it next year next year so if we go spending next year i think it should be by trade & If we want to go nuts spending big $$$$$$$$$ on free agency that should be the year after next !
Any players we aquire this year are likely not going to be great players unless we aquire a past star who is nothing more than an expiring contract or one who's salary is not that high .
