This will shift power in NBA's West. Antoine Wright will sign 1-year deal with Kings tomorrow. My breaking news for the year...

Meh.

A perimeter wing defender that can't shoot.

Think of Wright as a younger Ime Udoka with more athleticism and versatility.

I really have no words for this signing. Typical Petrie signing.

It seems like we are not committing with anyone, longterm-wise. Probably that is why we don't see and hear FAs signing with Sacramento.

It makes sense actually.

*The Maloofs are broke
*They will have to pay Reke and Cousins and all these other young guys soon
*When All these rookies start producing we're going to look real attractive from a basketball standpoint.

I say realistically we should be looking to the summer of 2012 to be a player in FA.

I'm reminded of the John Salmons signing with this guy coming in. People tend to forget how not good John was in philly the season before coming here. (I may be wrong)...

Hopefully he comes in doing some dirty work and stepping up

Tell me this is a joke! Please!!!!

Well, I guess people were begging for a shooter...why not get the guy who shoots so many 3s because the NBA hasn't created a 4 point line yet.

It's not Antoine Walker. It's Antoine Wright Image

This makes no sense. Why would we add another wing player and even if w did I would like to believe we could find someone better from our SL team. Makes me think we are trading one of our other wing players.

Meh...insurance. He won't get minutes unless there's an injury.

he was a 85 rating in nba 2k6 after like 3 or 5 years after 2006 start, but then again Marvin Willaims was a 97

I don't think adding Wright necessarily means much. They obviously felt a need to get a good stop-gap perimeter defender to replace the ones we decided not to retain in Udoka and McGuire. I was pretty unimpressed with the guards from our summer league team on the defensive end, so this may be little more than a reflection of that. They still may decide to add Christmas or Ryan Thompson as we have open roster spots. I don't see much reason to read into a minor move like this that a trade may be near.

Antoine Wright was an 85 rating in 2k6?
He's only been in the NBA for 4 seasons now.. going on his 5th.
so that would mean he was a rookie with an 85 rating on NBA 2k6?

Are you sure? That just doesn't sound right, unless they thought he was the next LeBron James.

He may be thinking about Antoine Walker who won the NBA championship with Wade and the Heat prior to NBA 2k6. I actually thot the same thing at first.

Marvin Williams was never a 97 in any NBA 2K title - book that. I've played that game religiously and know that to be FALSE.
