“The video shows his nine-mile trip down I-80 and his arrest. Evans was pulled over at a park in Sacramento’s Robla neighborhood, CHP officers approached with guns drawn. Evans was eventually cited and released. He signed a few autographs and left.”

I really don't know why they released this video, it's kind of stupid to release this video due to the fact
that most fans already overlooked his mistake. This video pretty much reminds people again of his situation.

^^I doubt it was the CHP or the courts who just released the video on their own. Someone would have had to request the video and they are the ones who posted to the web. It is a public record, so it has to be released upon request.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

i hadn't seen the video yet, but i don't think evans was that reckless...there weren't that many cars on the highway, and its not like they were cutting ppl off all the time and stuff. also the highway has like 6 lanes. it was empty. i don't think the video reminds ppl about the situation. i'm watching it and i'm not feeling bad about it. actually i am, cause i was looking forward to reke driving the sh*t outta that car...so far i only seen him just going fast as hell. anybody can go 130 on a straight line, i was hoping to see F&F stuff like handshifting. i can do a better job of driving that car :)

I watched this on the news a few times this week - The chp confirmed they released the video as an "educational video" on reckless driving for young teens. I know this happened some time ago, but seriously I never knew how bad it really was - that was extremely dangerous - sure the traffic was not to bad - but he drove in and out of semi's blind spots at-least once and it was quick enough for a truck driver to miss and think its safe to switch lanes... There was one point where I think he drove into the shoulder ...

But anyways - there are enough good drivers who do everything right and then get killed in an accident because someone made a mistake in driving, had a blown tire other car failures, drunk driving.. etc etc... and going 110+ miles just increases the odds that you'll be involved in an accident - its just not very smart...

I guess there is no reason to dwell on the past, he made a mistake - hopefully it does not happen again... Pleas no more Rekeless Driving :(

The legal definition of reckless driving in California is driving with "willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property". Whenever you combine speed in excess of 100 mph and weaving in and out of traffic, it's easy to make the case for reckless driving.

Yeah, I saw this on the News yesterday.
It scared me at first because the news lady said this just happened about a week ago.
I was like WTF? Did Tyreke get caught speeding again?

I don't get why they released this Video. It's old news, why bring it up again?!

i never said he wasn't reckless...i just said it wasn't that dangerous...it's not like i would have been scared for my life if i was in the car w/ him....when i first heard that he was doing 130 on the freeway i was really shocked, cause in puerto rico the most lanes we have on a highway is 4 and the speeding limit is 65 (and the highway is always full of cars). so you can see how i imagined it was. but then i saw the video and i was like whatever...i see myself doing that speed in that highway easy and i wouldn't consider to be in as dangerous a situation as i previously thought it was. was it reckless? he was doing 130...of course it was.

This is just proof that once Reke is in the lane you can't stop him unless you have a gun!

" while he swerved through traffic"

Swerved
–verb (used without object)
1.
to turn aside abruptly in movement or direction; deviate suddenly from the straight or direct course.

This guy just wanted to make a story - I think "swerved" is a strong word with negative condonation - when it comes to driving. His driving although at an extremely high rate of speed was "under control" there were not " abrupt movements nor sudden deviations in direction. His driving was calculated and planned - if he seen a car he changed lanes.. when ppl swerve its because they're either drunk, or are trying to get out of the way of something that has just happened, such as an accident or dodging an animal.... or someone cuts them off.. etc etc

For him to use the word swerve just lets you know that he's trying to blow this into something its not and make a huge story/deal out of it.... bottom line it was dumb, but he is only 20 years old... give him a break lol...
