Jerry Stackhouse?

Stackhouse is still a free agent and has some desirable qualities. On nba.com they said he "averaged more than eight points as a spark off the bench and, perhaps more importantly, provided leadership in the Bucks' locker room" (http://www.nba.com/2010/news/features/a ... ef:nbahpt1). Could see him providing some veteran leadership on the kings and maybe knocking down some jumpers next to Tyreke. Any1 else interested for the veterans minimum?

He's not the worst choice to target, but he's not one that I'd be especially prone to either.

Please no. Nothing against him just we don't need him on our team at this point.

I think we do. He is a veteran who could help all of our young players learn how to be a professional and how to be a professional and a solid citizen.

The team needs a solid veteren they can respect and get guidance from.

I look at Stack as more of a player/mentor

I'd be down for any kind of mentor at this point.

QFT!

Guys like Stack that still play don't want to rebuild or play for an "up and coming team."

If he wanted to be here in one of those situations where he's more of a player/on court Coach that uses his final year to transition into coaching then fantastic. If that's his motivation then I would like to add him.

He was on the Bucks last year and they weren't exactly a conference powerhouse.

Yet they DID make it to the playoffs last year and are in position to battle for another playoff spot next year. The Kings will only make it to the playoffs by buying tickets and sitting in the stands.

It would be nice to have a vet to teach our young guns a thing or two about playing in the nba - and what it takes to compete on a high lvl for many years. I tend to agree with the statement that was made about stackhouse not wanting to play for a team that is rebuilding, regardless of the team he played with last year - I think that stackhouse would like to get a ring or at least have a chance to fight for one if he had his choice...

But who knows if its the right situation for both the kings and stackhouse why not...

Obviously they made it into the playoffs nobody ever said they didnt. If you read what i wrote I said they weren't exactly a conference powerhouse as the original suggestion was he belongs on a championship-caliber team such as Orlando. Yes the Bucks are decent but no one expects them to contend for a championship. Especially when he signed with them last season as they were surprisingly better than most people thought. The Kings most likely aren't a playoff team this year but who really thought the Bucks were favorites to make it last season

Its safe to assume that Stack would most likely rather be on a team competing for a ring than a rebuilding team but the fact that hes gone this far without being signed makes me doubt that there are any serious contenders that are after him. Same goes for Tmac.

At this point of his career, his veteran presence may be his best thing going as a player. Other than that, his impact on court contribution will be minimal.
